It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Question about Starting Strength

Is it ok if you squat 3 times a week M, Wed, Fri? Seems like there isn't enough rest time between Monday through Friday.

Yes, but only for so long. Once you stall 2 or 3 times you will need to have a light squat day on Wednesday or a ME/DE routine.

Is it ok if I just squat twice a week instead of three times? What's a ME/DE routine btw?

Do the program as is and eat your *assuming* skinny ass off. You'll be fine.

Buy the book. The squatting comes in waves of intensity, recovery, and volume.

Some of the best splits I have seen have this type of wave loading. Generally it is a wave like above or something like westside (ME/DE).

hey guys, sorry for stealing this thread, but i didn't want to make a new one just to ask this question.
im thinking of doing SS. i found a website that explains the routine, just by looking it up on google, would you think the info on this site is sufficient enough, or should i just buy the book?

Damn for only $30, I would just buy the book. It seems like a valuable resource that covers all the bases you'll need. Plus you won't be making a confused post in a week full of questions.
