Im going to cancun in june and would like to drop about ten pounds. I know most people dont recomend intense training and losing weight but if i do it slow enough could it work? I have been gaining about a pound a week for the past two months and weigh about 150lbs now. I just want to lose a little bit for the trip. Im thinking about still eating alot and taking protein shakes but add cardio a couple times a week. What do you guys think. Am i completely crazy or could i do it? What is the best way to go about this?
Also i know this is probably better in the diet and nutrition forum but figured some of you bigger lifters dont hang around there to much.
I think if you're going for looks for the vacation you'll be happier and look better with 10 extra lbs of added muscle than 10 lbs less of pure fat.

Unless you are 4'4 I don't see why you would want to lose weight at 150 lbs. Be careful in Cancun, peeps be wilin' down thur.

I reccomend getting in touch with Shelby Starnes of elitefts, the two people I know who have worked with him got the offseason diet for 250 bucks and just completely changed the way they look in a ******edly short amount of time. I also really like how you're sending pics to him every week and you get some goal setting and review with him weekly, that in itself to me is worth the money just to have someone comitted to helping you see through to your goals. I'm looking him up probably 2nd half of summer when I'm mentally ready for it... but it sounds like you're ready now... so I say go for it.
Keep in Mind, I bet Shelby could get you to whatever body fat you want, and then maybe help you gain some weight if you want... if you don't want to... don't worry... I know guys that are 132 and pull 500 and are just ripped to ****. when he takes his shirt any girl with a heartbeat notices... I have to say though... having bouncers at bars ask you politely to be nice tonite is a good feeling too, this has recently started to happen.
Just do whatever you want man, I hope you get in touch with shelby... I only hear great things

I used to be pretty obese and started putting on a lot of weight especially on my thighs and bottom in my late thirties. I started exercising as often as possible and also cut down on a lot of high calorie stuff. Unfortunately I hardly managed to lose much weight at all. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she managed to lose nearly half of her weight using a particular weight loss supplement. I tried it out and it actually worked quite well. Within 4 months I managed to lose about 65 pounds. The results were pretty amazing and I feel so much healthier and energetic now. You can read more about the lady's article at
