The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I know there was a bunch of guys saying that concealed weapons should be the norm, especially after the VA Tech shootings. Doesn't FL have some law that basically says, shoot first ask questions later? Anyways, not sure if shooting in a crowded BK is the smartest thing in the world, but dude had a concealed weapon permit and I am assuming for this specific reason.

He shouldn't have gotten into an argument before killing the robber, he just should have killed him.

But hell yeah, we should all carry firearms.

I am an avid CHL supporter and carrier but I think what this guy did was pretty stupid and it endangered the lives of many innocent bystanders. When I took my CHL class they stressed avoiding bad situations, not go looking for them. If he thought his life was in danger he should not have been in a verbal argument with the assailant, he should have produced his weapon and defended his life. Period.

The moral of the story is ...lawabiding citizens should carry and grease criminals that attempt to do the rest of harm .

Eff the bad guys . Dont want to get shot , dont rob mofos .

The dude needs to learn to not argue with robbers too .
Give me your broken , give me your beaten ... I will build them up , I will lead them ... to the threshhold . Make you stronger , make you believe .

    Haha am I that predictable?

Glad the POS was DRT. Hard to tell if there was really an argument or if it was just a word exchanged. With that said, it wasn't the best idea to get into a shootout in the middle of a BK. You're liable for everything that comes out of the end of your gun, so if you're going to get into a shootout you damn well better hit what you're aiming at.

As barbaric as it sounds, I wouldn't mind breaking out the blade for repeat offenders. I hate thieves.

I have a solution for rapists, child molestors which involves chopping something off. Murders involves a potato peeler and steel wool, then lemon juice.

I imagine the "argument" or whatever words were exchanged, and the fact that the customer had several gunshot wounds, had a lot to do with making as sure as possible that no one else would be caught in the gunfire. Just my take on it, in his place I probably would have distracted the robber while moving into a position that put everyone more out of risk of crossfire.

It needs to be on a case by case basis.

Definitely should not have argued with the robber, should have just pulled out the weapon and shot.

From other reports I've heard it sounds like he was trying to get the guy to put his gun away.

Doing harm to other people, even when you feel like your life is threatened is harder then you'd imagine.

In the northeast you cannot do this. You shoot a robber or an intruder and you can be charged with assault or attempted murder. Even if they break into your home and are going to attack you. You call authorities and wait!

I am sure that is what the argument was over, and he prob fired the gun at the offender as a reaction not an intention.

And sometimes you don't even need your life to be threatened.

Precisely. It's been my experience that people that always spouting "shoot first" bull**** have never been in anything remotely approaching that situation.

Everyone involved in that story is an idiot.

I'd double check your laws, they vary on a state by state basis. In places like Minnesota we can't shoot an intruder/mugger unless he/she poses an immediate threat. But if they have a weapon or make a physical threat, you are free to shoot away.

In Texas, someone breaks into your house, you can shoot them dead. Which I agree with. I don't think that we always need to shoot would-be muggers, but if someone shows enough intent to break into your house while you are home, they wave their rights to not get a bullet in the chest.

"A customer eyed him and the two started arguing. "

I'd like to know what exactly this argument entailed.

Customer decides to start an argument with a man in a ski mask who's carrying a gun and robbing the joint. Maybe he woulda saved himself some buckhosts and a trip to the hospital if maybe he just shot him in the back while he was running out the door.
