My conv pull is horrible. I have the worst form as I stiff leg the shit out of it. Moved slow. Hit some sumos too. They moved quick. Just not built for conv pulling...blah. I think im going to stick to raw work like I said before on this day, and rotate bands, deficit, and blocks on saturday and rotate intensity so not to overtrain.

Nice session, got a lot of work in. I think I'm built for both, I've never really given sumo a try. I just love pulling conventional more, but I think sumo will take some pressure off my back.

Thanks Bri. With a bunch of work at conv, Im sure I could get it to work for me, but sumo is more natural and a lot easier to progress with.

Thanks Hayden. Im not bad off the floor, but my hips shoot up mid shin to compensate for my T Rex arms and then I straight leg the shit out of it.

I am the opposite with pulling. My sumo is teh suck. Buuuut, I definitely felt that pulling sumo for a while (7-8 weeks) helped my conventional. That was not so long ago.

Did you order the canvas yet, big dawg?

"Thanks Hayden. Im not bad off the floor, but my hips shoot up mid shin to compensate for my T Rex arms and then I straight leg the shit out of it."

I think you need to start with the hips higher, it means once you pop it off the floor and straighten the back a little you just continue pulling from there with-out wasting energy from hips raising too fast to get to where you are strong (like doing two movements) and then throwing your weight forward.

Hard to explain and I dont actually know whats happening with your pull but it may be a good guess.

    Training is looking great!!

Brilliant. I cant wait until you get it either, lol. Is that normal? ha

My training partners just got new overkill suits. One is a triple hybrid and the other is a triple poly. They weigh a ton (the suits). Be a few weeks before any of us get into the suits though.

Those OK suit sound like armor. I did think about going with one of those, bit went with the old reliable canvas.

Didnt know what to expect today due to a really long day at work yesterday and was really run dowN. Squats were scheduled to be 80% for 5sets of 3, but just didnt have it, so worked with decent weight and got in some good sets. Rack pulls came out of my ass somehow and hit some good numbers. Happy with that.
