The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Exactly why. I never liked Reid, and when he made Castillo the D Coordinator, that was it. I knew this was going to happen. Even though its only preseason and theyre "working on things", its a look at whats to come. They had so many holes in the middle, swiss cheese has nothing on them!
    And then there's Vicks performance......

Tip- If Lat strength is a weakness on your bench, Do pulldowns to your belly. Take a grip similar to your bench grip and tuck the elbows and bring the bar down to about the top abs(where you would touch on the bench). Squeeze at the bottom. These will definately help bring up your strength.

Thanks T. I like them a lot. Tough to set up tight on the first rep, but the second puts you in good form. I think they will definately help.

That first rep on dead presses is definitely the worst. Always half waiting for a shoulder explosion.

Thats great advice on the pulldowns. I try to do them like that. I remember Vincent dizenzo explaining pulldowns in a similar way.

Great work. have you scrapped bench speed work for now?
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

I think his version is where you suspend a bar in a rack with bands and you lay on the floor like your doing a floor press. Then you reach up and grab the bar with a bench grip (raw or geared, not sure) and then you pull the bar down as far as you can go. The main thing to focus on is trying to mimic a bench. It hits your lays pretty good.

Thanks Justin. Im actually rotating weeks with speed and dead presses. Using the deads to get more explosive off the chest.

Been doing pull downs that way since watching Tate's so you think you can bench series, where he talks about doing pull downs that way to get a feel for the tightness in your shoulder blades, has definitely helped on both fronts. Dead benching sucks, but is so beneficial. Solid work Brian.

Felt like a wet sloppy pussy today. SSB is a mother fucker with bands, and my form was all over the place today. Decent weight but slower than i think i should be. Pulled something in my left shoulder then on pulls i had some pain in both hips, so just called it there. Ill try and get some pulling in this week.

Vids look great man, looking strong. I need to get me an SSB, or at least one of those attachments to the bar to make a regular bar an SSB.
