I hate how people think sumo is a squat, its still a back lift.

    Good video BC.

Raw pulling just isnt for me im telling ya.
Its causing you a lot of grief, thats for sure. Hope you get something organised asap Brian. Sincerely. What does Tone think?

I feel your frustration with the tight sleeve. Been in that same spot last week. Time for the car jack

Maybe you should do conventional pulling instead of sumo?
But remember you ARE still fighting that cold too.
Still you got in RSDLs, how did they feel?

That video is a good one, and I didn't realize how strong Max Aita is, lol.

head to the MT to get that hammer worked on.. it took me almost a year to fully recover from a ham injury because I didn't see treatment sooner. Get any knots/scar tissue out and you'll be gold.

Also, (for me at least), if you just hit some speed pulls, then heavy upper back and posterior work, you're pull will go up. Last year I only pulled heavy once every 3-4 weeks and after 3 months nailed a 40lb PR. Crushed pullups, rows, RDLs and other posterior work though. Just a thought. Heal up that hammy.

I might as well train like I compete, so ill be wearing briefs for now. No reason to go raw if its causing any discomfort in the hammy. We really havent talked much about pulling. I usually do most of my pulling on my own.
I should be good to go with the shirt for Monday. Got a ball inflated in the sleev, so it should do the trick.

RDLs were easy. I dont know Mike, maybe I should explore the idea of going conv. Ill just need help with form as I never was a good conv puller.

Conventional is for real men like me and mike ...

IDK if you have to SWITCH to conventional pulling all together, but i would definitely exercise it mid week to build whatever you may not be hitting with Sumo. I'm exactly the opposite, I pull hard as hell conventional, but cant break 405 sumo. However, back when i was good at pulling, I did reps of sumo with like 275-315 to build muscles I was lacking and it increased my conventional strength. food for thought.

    2/18 Squats

    **Thanks guys

Box squat w/ 210lbs free hanging chains(no deload)
    145x5
    briefs
    225x5
    145+ch x3
    235+ch x2
    325+ch x2
    415+ch x2
    Canvas bottoms
    505+ch x1 (bad form shaky)
    Straight weight
    595x2
685x1 (missed second , got too fast out of hole, but easy weight)
    loose straps
    735x1
drop weight to work on form
645x2 pain I right groin, so called it.

Was extremely pressed for time, so no accessories. Today was a learning day. Never touched the box with the suit. Canvas is a whole new animal, and something I need to get used to. It was a frustrating day, but im learning. There is no room for error in a canvas. Ive read up on how to use the suit, and theres a few things I forgot about that I used before. One being a higher bar position. Last time I was in the suit I felt pretty good, so its just me today. Ill get it figured out. The last set was going to be 5 paused reps, but on the second I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my right groin. (which is the side I tore). Got the suit off and turns out my briefs got rolled up when putting the suit on. Sitting in the hole just put too much pressure on it. But no injury so thats good.
(sorry to the crew if I sounded like a wet vagina today).

No sorry necessary. 1 bad set doesn't mean u need to change everything bud. I think ur over thinking it. U might just need to make 1 small change not 5 major ones. Keep at it u'll get it

You had a bad time the last 2 weeks remember you've been fighting a cold and sinus things?
You body may just have gotton over it but it takes time to recoupe totally from it. Plus you were in a rush too, that was on your mind.
Like Tim said not a lot of things maybe one or two.
Regroup, relax and redo next week.
You are fine, we all have bad days.
    Good Luck!

Don't sweat it bro, it's a learning curve. You'll get it figured out, you just need more time in the suit. I agree with both Tim and Mike!!!

Canvas is a completely different feel. Just gonna take some time to get used to it and make the small changes you need as well as build up the accessory muscles you'll need. We all have bad days, besides, I like wet vagina.
