The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

3/2 ME Bench (4 weeks out)

    Thanks guys

Shit felt heavy from the get go today. A little worn down.

A totally off day today. I was looking at 585 to be an opener, but judging how it went today, it was slow and sloppy. Decided to drop to 565 to see how that would go, but I just got loose and gave up on it off the chest. Better to get the "off" day out of the way now rather then meet day...

    Strong squattin B. Very strong.

Get that sh1t out of your system now is right. These last few weeks are the damn hardest as you know. Pressure is on and body is in bits. Time to stand up.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

Cut squats down to 4x2's and dropped bands. Very fast, so happy with it. Just a few speed pulls for form check again(jumped in the beginning of the other guys heavy pulling). I feel my form is prettydialed in. Learning a lot watching and talking to some big sumo pullers. 425 was a joke. After much debate, I think ill be going with the Leviathan now to pull in this meet.

Kept weight light on everything. Upper body is beat up and feeling like shit. Again, cut speed work down to 5x3. Honestly looking forward to the downtime before the meet to give things rest and be 100% for the meet.

Worked up to my opener the way I will on meet day. Opener was super fast. I think I couldve repped it easy. Pulls I think was too much gear. Finally could get to the bar after a tough fight, but breath was an issue. Next week ill go just suit and find my opener.

Stick with just the suit for the pulls for now it sounds like. No reason making it to the point where you can only get to the bar by putting yourself in a compromising position.
