Solo's tough but if you learn how to push by yourself, you'll kill it with a crew. Squats are looking strong keep at it Bri.

Ive been feeling a little slow lately so I did some speed work today and dropped the weight down to get it moving pretty fast. I decided to add OH presses using 531 to get my presses up. I havent been doing too many shoulder movements and I think its affecting my strength. I lowered my 1 rm which was a little too low I think since i probably couldve hit 20 with 160, so ill adjust as I go. Did my 3 sets of curls for the month(yawn) and actually hit some cardio to try and lean out some of this new found holiday flab.

Like the speed work. I don't think I'd throw the 531 OHP in there with it though. I think you'd overwork the shoulders. Keep it as an accessory maybe, but I wouldn't suggest going heavy there. Try it and see right? Good work Brian.

Nice OHP's. I've been doing those after my speed sets for a while now, and it's worked out pretty good. Hopefully the same for you.l

Yea will see how it goes I guess. Just trying to pinpoint where my strength has gone. If I feel overworked then ill change it up. I always felt good before when I did shoulders still and my numbers were better than they are now. Meh, trial and error bro. Thanks Tone.

Thanks a lot Pete. I've been feeling a little weak in the shoulders lately so hopefully there's some carryover.

    12/7 Bench with the crew

    135x5
    185x5
    225x5
    275x3
    315x2
    *add 4ply Titan
    4 brd
405xnot even close to touching lol

    3 brd bench(pinky on ring)
    335x3x2

    V bar pushdowns
    3 sets of 15

    Later at home
Pushups using p/u bars w/ 50lb kid on back
3 sets of 25 to the floor

Great seeing everyone again tonite. Training for me was a little lost as i didnt have much of a plan. Think I might just continue with 531 also as half the crew is following it now. I gave one of Jon Rocks shirts a run and couldnt even come close to touching a 4brd.....then I found out that it was a frickin 4 ply! Thing is strong as steel. Maybe someday but way too much shirt for now. Recruited one of my kids at home and pumped out some extra deep pushups while mimicking a close grip bar path. I love doing these. Really blow up the tris. If you dont have a kid, get one just for these

Couldn't touch a 4-board? I can't imagine the weight it would take to touch in that thing (not to mention the pressure in your head).

Thanks Bri. Ive been benching for strength for a little over 2 years. My numbers were higher at the beginning of the year, but I lost my everyday training partner and stopped heavy benching for a bit. Its one of my goals to get it up where it really should be now that Ive got a good crew to train with.

    12/9 Squat

Today was a bad day. A bad day at work. Im not going in to it, but it was a day that made me want to kill someone, or at least rip their fukin head off.....So in turn, that made for a good day in the gym since my adreneline was pumping like a mofo. I walked in and kicked a chinaman out of the only cage we have...fu ck him too. I just hoped no one crossed my path negatively. Then I proceeded to squat RAW. Havent squatted raw due to groin pain in a long time.

    Free Squats
    Bar x 10
    135x6
    225x5
    275x3
    add belt
    315x3
    365x3
    405x2...What groin pain
    425x2
    455x2(PR)
    (Fuk work)
    475x1(PR)
    (Fuk all)
    495x1(PR)
    (Fuk work again)
    add briefs
    add Rev Green Bands
    545x1
    585x1
    605x1(PR)
    615x1(PR)

Then I flung a 10lber half way across the gym..... So I figured it was a good time to call it a day. Life can really blow sometimes. Wish I could bottle the anger I had in the gym today....Id be a millionaire.

Good work today at the gym and keeping your cool at work. Don't let work get to you, remember it's just work. Clock out and let life begin. Easier said then done I'm sure. Squat are looking insane, time to get in a suit and hit some big numbers.
