The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Been a while since I checked in on this journal. Things are still looking very good, man. Love the relentlessness to nail that 605 pull.

Small adjustment to my stance and the second set of 745 was easy. Had a shit bar on front squats that just kept rolling on me, so just did a few light sets.

Pretty good day. All weight felt very light in my hands. 545 took awhile to get down and was an ugly press. 565 went better but still slow down. 605 was too easy off high boards. I think 585 full will move alot easier as so i can get it down faster. My strength dies quick, so if i can touch fast, ill press it. Very confident right now.

Another good day. The block pulls are a tough height for me, so pretty happy with it. I tried out using a cut Metal king sumo suit as briefs to tighten up the canvas a bit. Not sure if ill go with it or not. Makes lockout a little harder, which is already my weak point.

    Quick update:
This week was a deload on squat, so nixed a squat day since i got good work in on Wednesday. Im cutting back on upper acc too until the meet to give the joints a rest. The weight cut is up and down. Todays morning weight was 218, and ive been mostly carb free and clean along with cardio 3-4x a week, so its a real struggle to get down 5-6 lbs before a water cut. Ill decide in 2 weeks whether ill vut or go 220s. Heavy bench on Monday

Good relearning night for me. Tone hammered some major form issues with me that i got away from doing and really got everything to click perfectly on my last rep. I wouldve loved to give 600 a ride full, but my back was totally tweeked from arching and i could barely stand. Heat and motrin at home and ill be good as new.

Fair call staying in the 220's, down to the 198s is quite a big drop!

Strong board work, nailing form is ideal, I am sure it'll become ingrained in no time.
