Im really at a loss for whats going on. This is the third session in a row that has gotten continually worse. Everything feels way heavy. I got to 455 and could barely get it off the fukin floor. I know im not overtraining, I didnt even pull last week..and the rest is pretty low volume. Im just clueless. I dont know if I need to take a break or what, but its starting to affect my mindset when I get into the gym. Until I figure this the fuk out, forget about competing.....

Thats a bummer about the misses Brian. What about conventional?
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

Got my pump on. After the deload week, Im going to switch things up a little. The main 3 will my basis still, but im going to do more accessory for hypertrophy. Have to get myself in better shape, so Im adding cardio back too(nothing too extreme). Ive been feeling like crap, and its starting to affect me at my job too. My plan is to actually drop weight and hover around 190-200 again. And adding more shoulder work. I was a better bencher when I worked my shoulders more. I feel that its a weak spot right now. My bench is down about 30ish pounds from this point last year. Hopefully I find my groove again

Hey bro, thought I'd stop by and checkout your journal. Sounds like you had a rough bit there with the pulled groin and ab. Looks like you're moving things along though. No idea why it's so tough to lift this time of year but it always seems that way. A lot going on and it's easy to just go be lazy and relax like everyone else I guess. Are you from Philly? My wife has tons of family out there. I actually worked out at some gym out there near Bensalem about 5 years ago. Wasn't half bad either. You definitely got all the good food and sandwiches out there, bro, lol! I enjoy the Hoagies and Tasty Cakes.

Hey Kiaran, thanks for stopping in. I live in Philly, but im about 2 minutes from Bensalem, right on the edge of town. The food is definately top notch here. Hard to keep any kind of physique with Tastykakes and Cheese steaks surrounding ya all day lol. Training is always tough this time of year, your right. Need to rest up the hips this week and get back on the horse next. Your work has been really impressive lately too. Keep up the great training bro.

Sorry to hear about the bench this year. Hope 2010 brings it back up and more. Have you had any routines that worked really well for you in the past that you could hit up again?

Good luck with the goals heading in to the new year Brian. Re-group and attack it.

As you say, you'll get back in that groove again.

    Happy new year mate!
