Man that sucks to hear about the tweaked back. Where exactly did you hurt it? Looks like you sucked it up and benched through it anyway. 315 for multiple sets of 3? Man, I wish you could come train out here some day. Probably learn a ton from you. I lol'd at how you owned the 365 set of deads up there. Watch the bounce though bro. Not a bad idea to do full resets just to keep the form in check on every rep. Bouncing is how I ****ed my back up a couple years ago. BTW, when you gonna break that buffalo wing record?

Thanks K. Yeah its definately a good idea to reset fully rather than bouncing. I was just banging out some fast reps, but would benefit more from resetting. And like you said, prob not the best for the ole back either LOL @ the wing record! You know, you never know when the opportunity will arise. Its usually when we're at the bar half lit in the ass and a bud puts the challenge on the table. Thats when im at my best! So im sure it will come soon, because everyone still talks about it. Ill be sure to video it if it happens!!

As for my back, its going to take more time than I thought. Woke up this morning and couldnt even get a sock on. Feels better now, but its been over a week, so it might be more serious than first thought. Im seeing my Chiro on Monday morning, so hopefully we can get it right.
Im 16 weeks out from the meet, and my gear hasnt arrived yet. Need to get evrything here and my back straight. I need to train!!!

Back problems suck Bri. It's a blessing when I get out of bed every morning and my back isn't hurting to some degree. The chiro is a good idea. If you have access to a reverse hyper, I'd hit that everyday for a few sets of 15-20 reps. That's never failed to help me get through even some of my worst back pain flareups.

Any news about that back, BC?

Has the gear arrived? What all did you order?

    No more questions.

Thanks for the inquiries guys. Just got back from the Chiro and it seems to nothing major. Just a bad strain. Its about 75% now, and with a dose of Ibuprofin, its about 85%. So he suggested to me that I stop lifting heavy weights and focus more on body weight exercises because its better and healthier for the body....so I said thanks for the input and ill take it in to consideration (me doctor) So im off to the gym to get my bench on. Enough sitting around, I need to start training atleast something.

Flynn- I ordered Boss briefs and a 2 ply Overkill shirt. I figure Ill try and pick up a used squat suit somewhere since the money is tight to buy all new stuff. But I need to get something here so I can break the **** in....frustrating. Ive been bothering Titan and they said theyre waiting on a shipment of material....whatever....its been 5 weeks....MAKE MY DAM BRIEFS!!! Hopefully soon.

Still cant arch at all, so all sets today were done with feet flat in front of me. It messed me up because I was misjudging my leg drive with them out front. Havent benched that way in a long time. But got it going after a bit. Cant really do any back work yet, so a light day for the most part.

How much do you think you get from leg drive after having an accurate comparison with and without? Haha @ about the chiro. Interesting that they said it's better and healthier to do body weight exercises. The person you went to must be old school because they firmly believe and talk about powerlifters in the majority of their athlete studies. I look forward to you being 100% again, bud.

Cant say an exact amount of LBs it adds to my bench, but it definately helps with explosiveness off the chest. Yeah the chiro is definately old school. Told me to quit heavy lifting because it proves nothing and breaks the body down...... Thanks pal for the compliments!

    10/27 DE Lower

    Speed Squats
    15" box
    Belt only
    135x10
    185x10
    225x5
    belt
    275x2 x4 (50%)
    330x2 x4 (60%)

    135x10 x4

    Wide Grip Pullups
    BW x12 x3

    45' Leg Press
    5PPS x10 x3

A little rusty on the squats. A tad sluggish coming off the box, but no big deal. Kept all the accessory weight real low so not to aggrivate my back, more like rehab work. No pulling yet. Maybe Staurday.

Good idea to be a little cautious with the back. Don't worry about the speed, that's usually the first thing that suffers after an injury or layoff.

So this morning all I did was sneeze and it drove me to the floor in pain. Totally put my back out again, but even worse than last time....took me over an hour to make it into my livingroom and on to the floor. This really Fs everything up. Going back to the chiro tomorrow of I can get there. I feel lost...wtf

Damn bro, I hope everything's okay. Back in 2005 Sammy Sosa went on the DL b/c they said he hurt his back sneezing, everyone called b.s., but I guess you're proof that it really could happen. Hopefully the chiro fixes you up.

Thanks guys. I woke up yesterday sore and didn't get to stretch. I sneezed and it was like a knife in my back. I've been laying on the floor and icing it since it happened. I can barely get up. Can't even get to the chiro. in going to keep icing and see by Monday morning if I can get there. If not then ill have to call a medic and take a trip to the ER. Keep u posted. Its not going to stop me.
