Nice job getting the lighter weights to a 1 board. Sorry to hear about the chest, I'm sure you will be good to go on meet day. Nothing a little adrenaline can't fix.

I hope it feels ok to still do the meet. Just keep putting ice on it.

Hey bud hope the injury is healing up. Not long to go now. One week of training left?

    7/22 Lower Accessory

    SSB speed squats
    13 inch box raw
    135x5
    225x5
    275x5
    315x2 x8

    SSB Seated GMs
    225x5 x3

    Wide Sumo SLDLs
    225x10 x3

    Doubled mini Abduction
    2 sets of 20

First and last time doing seated ssb gms. I didnt like the unnecessary pressure it puts on your cervical vertebrae. Very sketchy, so I kept it relatively light. Still pretty tough as I did them chest to knees. Quick day, had to get to work.

Nice work...............seated G.Ms are so up and down for me....one time I did them and loved it but last time it felt crap.

SSB work is a great idea at this point in your training leading up to the meet.........was it in the cycle or did you switch last minute to protect the upper body and shoulders from the straight bar?

Thanks Nick. Ive done seated GMS with a straight bar before and liked them, but the SSB puts all the weight around your neck which I didnt like.

I figured Id give my shoulders a break, plus the SSB hits some weak points I wanted to work on.
