    Thanks Justin. As suits are made, I felt strong at lockout, but a little weak in the hole. For me, being in gear all the time hurts my raw squat. Ive hit a pretty good 545 before, and the 505 the other day felt heavy. I may add some raw work after the meet.

    Raw bench feels real good right now. 365 went up pretty good. Probably good for 380. Opted not to shirt up and give my chest the extra rest time for the meet. Hopefully the right decision as I still have no clue what I can do in the shirt yet. Im thinking just opening at 455 and see how that goes. If no pain and a decent lift, ill go 500, then somewhere in the 525 535 range.

    6/28 Deadlift

    Standing Cable Crunches
    120 x50 x2

    Wanted to test the pull a little today. The first 545 went up not too bad. The second was a little struggle at lockout, but got it. Im pulling only in briefs and belt for the meet, so this is basically a tell tale of how it will go. Opening at 500, then 530, then a third of 550. Ill be happy with that for this meet. Pulling will be a priority after the meet as I want to hit 600 in November. My problem is lockout which is a litle weird with sumo. So ill need a lot of work with that. And ill be looking into canvas for the next meet too. Anyway, ill hit the gym 2 more times for a very light upper/lower workout this week, then relax up to the meet. Ill be going 220 this time as cutting isnt in the cards. Too much going on the days before and i wont be able to cut properly, so November ill go 198s.

    This morning I was sitting at 214. Ill be a pretty light 220er for this meet. I cant gain too much more because my gear is pretty dam tight already. Ill cut for Novembet though.

    Yeah 214 is a serious cut to 198 yet light for 220.....Im similar at 217.5 now.

    I think you will do well in either classes but for now 220 is the right choice!!

    Real keen to see you put up some big squat numbers..........we all know how much potential you have there...natural IMO!!

    Been just laying low and eating/drinking my face off. Weight is staying at around 214 mornings though. Just finished watching Team MHP Strongman comp downtown. Brain Shaw, Nick Best, and about 10 other guys. I wouldnt mind giving it a go sometime. Looks like so much fun.
