    Pretty good volume day. Worked in with a few guys who were testing 1rm. Talked me into going after 600, but i died coming off the floor. So im setting my 1rm at 575 for training purposes. Weak off the floor so ill be attacking that problem. Lockout feels real strong conv. Ill be staying raw for a little while until its time to start the meet cycle.

    Yeah im going to start working on a closer grip for raw pressing. Im wide middle on ring usually. Always was strongest there, but obviously alot on the shoulders. Ill start back working pinky on ring.

    So after this weekend, Ive been knocked out of the first place spot on PLWatch down to third. Jason Coker posted a 2400 and Kalle Rässanen from Finland posted a 2295, both at the Westside Pro Invite. I was supposed to do this meet, but had to pull out. Congrats to both on 2 spectacular showings. It was fun to watch. So, for me, ill be working with Jimmie Pacifico with programming for an upcoming meet in December, and also the XPC Finals in March. Goals for now are to move up on the alltime 198 list. The December meet I may just go in at 220, officially claim a pro total there, and get a good feeling of where my lifts are for the XPC. Ill weigh in a very light 220, so it should give me a good idea. Couple more weeks and ill start the prep.

    Got a little work in with just briefs. 710 was actually a grind because I was just way out position from the pick, and instead of reracking I just went with it because it felt light. Bad idea lol. Usually an easy lift. I stopped here because most of the team were testing 1rms today and im the resident wrapper. So I wanted to focus on them instead and make sure they had what they needed. It was a great team day as everyone hit new prs.

    So the plan was to go into December and compete at the RPS Christmas Carnage without cutting to see where my lifts are as a halfway point leading into the XPC. But now a very enticing meet is being held with some of the best 198ers in the world along with 30k up for grabs(IPA Battle of the Titans). But its the weekend after the XPC Finals. And both are in Columbus, Oh. The first reaction was to just do both meets, but its probably not realistic. Between the travel for both and a sizeable cut 2 weeks in a row, ill have to just pick which one to do. I was looking forward to a heads up match between me and Dave Kirschen, but having 5 top guys together in one meet plus 30k to go after, its hard to pass up. Hmmmm

    Yeah im leaning towards the UPA meet. Hard to pass up that much competition. And the money isnt bad either lol.

    Good day today. Ive been working my pull mostly conv lately, so it was time to see how my raw sumo felt. Everything flew up. Best ive felt pulling sumo, probably ever. Opposite stance work is really paying off. 565 is 90% of my geared comp best(630).
