The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Leg strength is down some more. I made sure I kept my form really tight on the squats and did slower reps. I was beginning to bounce too much. I'm starting to get the hang of letting go of my ego and realizing I'm going to be moving a lot less weight then in the off season.

Posed for 30 minutes today as well.

Felt pretty good today. I kept the rest periods tighter and stayed focused throughout the whole workout. It went by fast and I was out quicker then normal which is good. I need to shorten the rest periods I think on all my training days as it is getting harder to sustain a pump with the lower carb diet. I have been advised that as soon as I stop feeling a pump then I am probably over training and just wasting time. Training while dieting down is tricky.

Workout went very well today. I went down in weight on the Lat Pull downs and bent over rows. I made sure I was really squeezing my back on these exercises and it felt much better then last week. I noticed I was starting to have to swing my lower back to much and my form was getting pretty bad. I might drop down a bit more next week so I can continue to keep my form tight. We will see. This is the last hard day of training. Tomorrow is just cardio and a light arm workout. Monday will be 7 weeks out. Getting closer!!!!

Made the decision to up cardio by 5 minutes rather then making any diet changes. We will see how it goes this week and determine if I have to make more adjustments. 5 minutes extra on the cardio is basically unnoticeable to me so I'd rather do that then have to cut more food at this point.

I switched it up a bit today. I know 7 weeks out isn't the time to be changing your training routine. However I had a little bit of time constraints and squatting usually takes me forever because I take longer breaks. I was worried that I wouldn't get as good of a workout. However I didn't change the rest periods on any of my other exercises except for the squat and I did way less weight on them so I must have gotten a better workout then usual. Just in case though I added in those few extra sets and a few drops sets at the end.

Did 65 minutes of cardio fasted in the morning for about 970 calories burned.

Went back to the gym for a light arm workout.

I am now 6 weeks out. I was waiting till Monday to count the weeks. However I realized the show is on a Saturday so the week changes are falling on Saturdays rather then Mondays. Everything is going very well. I will see if I need to make any diet/cardio changes tomorrow after I take my weekly progress pics.

I am getting much better at posing. I haven't been putting it on here all the time but I pose usually at least 10 minutes a day sometimes 20.

Glad you see how key posing is for your overall presentation, have you already picked out a song for your routine yet?

I have a few picked out. Not sure exactly what I want though. I will probably change my mind several times over the next few weeks lol. My individual routine is pretty much set though. I just have to smooth it out when I pick exactly what song I use and time it out. I have it completely memorized though so the rest will be easy as long as I continue to practice.

Managing to hold on strong very well right now, the last few weeks is gonna be toughest with the diet though, as you totally eliminate certain foods.
