The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Skiping training on madcow

    Hi.

This weekend im going to a summer cabin, this will mean that ill miss my Friday workout. The program depends on tight schedule so im worried that skipping training will damage my progress in the future. Should i just go ahead and skip it an carry on as if i hadnt?

What else are you suppose to do?
Bring a barbell to your cabin? Cancel the trip?

Youll probably just have to miss it. Give your before and after workouts your best.

Are you doing the advanced or intermediate?

Assuming you are doing the intermediate, it wont hurt to skip a friday. Just workout like normal, then when you get back, start back on the previous monday. In other words, dont advance to the next week with heavier weights.

Yeah man, don't sweat it. Just have a good time.
One day's not really going to make too much of a difference. Like Cmanuel says, don't increase the weights tho. You want to ensure another week of good progress when you get back rather than stall too early on.

Do Fridays WO on Thursday and enjoy the longer break. Two sessions in a row...... I know, crazy

Make it fit your life. Not the other way round. The odd missed or rescheduled session will not make any difference in the grand scheme of things.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy - George Bernard Shaw

Madcow is awesome. To date, i've had the best size/mass gains on that intermediate program. I'm going to do the intermediate for 2 weeks as a primer and then hop straight into the advanced version in a few weeks.

Make sure you reset as often as you can! extract those linear progress gains for all they are worth.
