I agree 100%. If you're stable, then you can explode. If you're not stable, then you won't explode.

One thing i noticed, the straps on your suit looked like there where pretty loose. I don't think this is a bad think if you are having problems reaching depth, but that did not seem to be the case with your squats. I bet if you crank those down you will instantly add some lbs.

That is true. I need to suck it up and squat straps up more in training. I usually only do it once a training cycle, since my recovery from it isn't great. It changes where I place the bar a little, and I need the practice.

Thanks! Yeah, I think that's the goal for the next meet. I need to start working towards the 2,200 for pro now, but I need some goals in between.

Today's video. I get back to work tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing the Al Caslow meet in February. There's going to be some amazing lifters there, so it'd be a good experience for me.

That's exactly why I think it'd be a good meet for me.

DE bench with MM under bench
    155 8 x 3 with 3 grips

    Fat bar floor press
    165 x 8
    185 3 x 8

I suck at these and they work where I'm weak. I'll keep doing them

    Neutral grip pull ups
    BW 3 x 5

Rolling DB extensions super set with Panora press
    40 4 x 8
    MM doubled 4 x 10

I didn't train today. I had a celebration dinner for work at this all you can eat Brazilian place. We were going to go to La Fondue, but I vetoed that crap. The Brazilian places serves 10 different meats and they bring it to your table on a spit and slice it off for you.

Thanks! Yes, I like the floor press. With the fat bar, it seems to really focus on my front delts and tries. My front delts are a weak point even in a shirt.

Thanks CoCoa. Bill called me a wuss for going 295 before 315, haha.

Thanks. I'm glad people like the Q&A. It's good since it gets us to think about why/how we do things. You have to constantly make sure what you're doing makes sense when you're explaining it to other people.

haha, that was Carl doing the wrist rope. You only see the weight though.

DE box squat with 125 lbs of chains:
    255 6 x 2
    285 x 2
    325 x 2
    375 x 2

Didn't feel like I was arching much today.

6" block pulls vs quaded minis:
    225 2 x 2
    315 x 2
    405 x 2
    455 x 1
    495 x 1
    515 x 1

I think these will help me. It puts me in my weakest position, and I have to overcome the bands.

    KB swings:
    48kg 3 x 8

    Obliques:
    32 kg 2 x 8

Today felt good. I think I successfully pushed myself without killing myself. I was killing myself too much last training cycle.
