That was strong fight for higgs to lock out that 715. Pretty impressive. Is Mark the one that broke his wrist using the slingshot? I saw he had a cast on.

Yeah, Mark is the one that broke his arm. I think that cast comes off in 3-4 weeks and he can start training. He's doing a lot of one-arm upper body stuff so both sides don't go weak. I think that'll help his right side once the cast is off. It'll get stronger faster, because his body will want to correct the imbalance.

I think that's why I'm enjoying this raw training. But don't get me wrong, I do miss my gear.

Yeah, I think it pays off to focus on raw strength at times though. Just need to re-adapt to the heavier loads in gear.

    Today's "training":

    30 mins of light BS.
60 mins of foam rolling and lacrosse ball.

Sometimes I forget how much more food powerlifters eat than normal people. I went to a Korean BBQ buffer for lunch yesterday. I destroyed about 3 lbs of meet, then hit a bench PR. My co-workers were half shocked and half horrified watching me eat. It was fun.

I didn't squat Saturday. I started to but my left knee is f-ed up. My left leg doesn't really work, and I helicopter is really badly. After some testing and amateur diagnosis, it seems to be torn cartilage. It started about 7 weeks ago and was improving. Now it's gotten much worse. I'm going to call Tuesday and get an appointment for a MRI. I have a training plan for if I can't squat. I just need to figure out exactly what's wrong and if it requires a knee scope or not.

I'm honestly not sure. I can't remember anything specific. It just started to hurt about 7 weeks ago. I started to do some rehab type stuff, and I couldn't even do a body weight step up with my left leg. I kept doing the rehab stuff and it was getting better. Now it's started to get worse, so I need to have it checked out.

That was completely useless. He thinks the cartilage on the back of my knee is wearing out from years of use. His advice was, "if squatting hurts then don't squat". I'm going to see a specialist. He couldn't explain why I had weakness and balance issues with single-leg movements.

Tried to do GMs. My knee did not like it. I'm pretty strict on not squatting them up too. Even the little bit of knee bend was causing problems.

ME floor press vs quaded micro
    275 x 1
    315 x 1
    335 x miss

    Barbell rows
    135 3 x 10

    Rolling DB extensions
    55 3 x 10

    Hammer curls
    55 2 x 8

    Grapler shoulder press
    45 x 8
    90 x 8

I think I'm going to stop doing any shoulder work on Sundays. For whatever reason, my shoulder recovery is slow. If I work up on DE bench or do any shoulder work, my shoulders are still sore/weak on Thursday. Probably because they are so weak relative to everything else. I see the specialist at 3:30 about my knee.

Yeah, waiting and not knowing isn't good.

    Pull ups
    5 x 5

    KB rows
    80 3 x 10

    H-roll
    25 3 x 10

    Hammer curls
    45 3 x 10

    Scap retraction
    purple 3 x 10 (3 sec hold on each)

Yeah, it was an exciting one. I tried SLDL and back extensions. Anything that requires hamstring activation hurts my knee even if there's no knee bending.
