Thanks Nick. I have more physical therapy tonight. I'm debating if I should admit to squatting or not. I've worked hard on my flexibility, and I'm sure sitting at work all day will ruin that.

    ME bench of elitefts manpon:
    315 x 1
    365 x 1
    385 x 1
    405 x miss
    365 x 4, 3, 3 3-bd

3-bd is much harder than 4-bd. My 2 and 3-bd are really close, so I guess I need more 3-bd.

I'm not even sure what my PR's are on board presses. After this meet I'm going to max out on each board on different weeks so I know what I'm working with. I do know that my all-time best 3brd was 495 but that was 9 years ago, lol.

    Hows the knee feeling???

Brian, that's why you're a much better bencher than me, haha. I think it can be a good indicator for me of what I need to work on.

The knee felt like CRAP last night. I sent to the Sharks game. That was just not a good sitting position for me. I had to do ice, compression, and more ice after. I had PT this morning. I got pushed a lot harder on that and did OK. The ice and stim really made the swelling go down. Then I hit within 90% of my max on a deadlift movement. The knee is doing really good.

ME deadlift vs quaded minis and 2" deficit
    405 x 1
    455 x 1
475 x miss It started out really slow, so the bands owned me. PR is 495, so 455 is pretty good.

    SLDL 2" deficit (no belt)
    405 3 x 5

    GM (no belt)
    235 3 x 5

I'm glad to see your knee is feeling better. Before you know it, you'll be squatting under some serious weight in no time.

Thanks Coke. I'm not a very patient person, haha.

Brian, I hope so. I think in 3 weeks I'll take a squat max. The deadlift is definitely quicker than the squat.

    Saturday:
    DE bench vs MM
    145 9 x 3

    Push ups
    3 x 15

    JM press
    95 3 x 10

    Face pulls
    mini 3 x 10

    Some knee rehab.

    Sunday:
DE squats with SSB and 160 lbs of band tension
    220 10 x 2

DE deadlifts vs doubled short minis
    315 8 x 1

SSB GM vs 160 lbs of band tension
    260 2 x 5

There's only one way to find out! It'll be raw. I want to get my raw strength back to at least 90% before I put any gear on. I'll have my 6 week follow up with the surgeon right before that, so I can ask him if it's a good or bad idea.

    ME deadlift off 4" blocks
    605 x 1
    635 x 1
    655 x 1 PR is 695

I'm definitely lacking leg drive. I got my legs almost straight and the bar didn't even move, so it was almost a SLDL off blocks. My back was still strong enough to lift it. I need my leg drive back though.

4 inch pulls are a bitch. I did 675 x 1 off of 4.5 inch blocks 2 weeks ago raw and i think it was harder than 705 from the ground.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the 4" pulls are harder for me than off the ground is. They SUCK!

I didn't lift this weekend. I went up to ST. Carl and Cliff lifted Saturday and hit some huge PRs. I'm working on the video. Suzanne lifted today. She missed best lifter by 11 lbs for $1000. She went for it on her third dead, but was just too tired to get it. The woman's pro meet was very cool. I'm sure ST will put out a top notch highlight video for it soon.

Thanks Brian. My knee is feeling really good. I think not squatting actually worked out better for me.

Brian, thanks! It was definitely exciting.

I did a little shirted benching to knock the rust off:

    2-bd:
    495 3 x 2

I'm going to Chicago this weekend. I'm hoping to shirted bench with the guru himself on Sunday. I haven't shirted up in 2-months, so I wanted to do something in the shirt, but not tax myself. Also, I'm working on just touching the board vs sinking into the board and heaving it. I noticed that's become a bad habit lately for a bunch of us.

    Thanks.

He likes it a lot except for the taking it off part. Although, he's learning how to be more efficient about that.
