That's pretty cool you got to train with all those guys!!! I have been wanting to hook up with Jo Jordan from OBB and Tommy Fannon from TBB to get in some training.

Yeah, Burdick's gym is close to halfway between Wild Iron and Super Training. It makes for a good spot for everyone to get together. We're going to try to do it more often.

DE bench with MM under bench
    145 9 x 3

    Shoulder work.

    Panora press
    mini doubled 2 x 20

    Face pulls
    mm doubled 3 x 10

    Reverse curls
    70 3 x 10

I'm finally done with ME painting. The last week has been brutal. I need to get back to a more normal schedule, because it's impacting my recovery and energy for training.

I'm closer to TBB then I am OBB, but it would still be worth a drive. I'm thinking about also making a trip to Jacksonville to train with Brian Carroll and Team Samson. He invited me up there, but I havent had the chance to go up.

Yep, training with stronger people is the most sure fire way to progress. I have a bit of a hard time with my crew in that regaurds because I am a fair amount stronger then everyone else. Ive been driving 6+ hours every other weekend to train with someone stronger and so far its been worth it.

    ME geared squat
    615 x 1 straps up
    665 x 1
    705 x 1 1" high

That's about as good as I've ever squatted in the gym. The advice to wear a bigger suit and crank the straps tighter is money. It really helps. I brought in my grip more too. That kept me a lot tighter.

    Reverse hyper
    3 x 10

    Spud abs
    110 4 x 10

    Neutral grip pullups
    3 x 5

Yep, once you learn how to squat with tight straps you can start to get some really good carryover. Make sure to arch your back when you are getting them cranked down too.

sounds like your knee is fixed if you can squat 700!

Yeah, I always had pretty tight straps single-ply. Multi-ply I went too tight in the hips, so tight straps made it impossible to get depth. Going with looser hips lets me squat more naturally too. Yes, the knee is fixed. It's more an issue of my body unracking and supporting the weights. Besides, it's multi-ply squatting. The suit does all the work, right? haha.

That's exactly how I wear my suit. My briefs are size 48 and my suit is a 54. I don't even crank the straps that much either. IMO, that's the best combo: tight briefs/loose suit. Besides that, I'm glad to see the knee is doing better.

that 705 looked really good from here! looks like just standing up with it was the hardest part. have you considered putting in some reverse band squats or standups? seems like those would help.

also.. why dont you do up your belt? that would drive me crazy haha

both my boss briefs and suit are 48s and i have 1.5inches taken off the hips. I think a loser suit is alright.. but once you learn the stupid tight stuff it has more carryover.. just takes a good 8-10 sessions in it.. and by then a boss suit is worn out.

    Thanks Brian.

Selk, I was going to do some heavy unracks, but I was spent. My unrack strength is way down. I plan to work in some heavy unracks to help.

My briefs are 50 with 48 hips. The suit is a 52, so I have 4" difference in the hips. I was wearing a 50 suit before.

I'm not sure I can get a 48 suit over my briefs. If I were to get a smaller suit, I would probably go with a 50. My next time in full gear, I'm gonna mess around with tighter straps.

    Thanks Coke.

Here's some video from the Saturday deadlifts at the crossfit gym.

Yeah, I'm not that great at sumo, but it helps my squat and conventional dead.

    DE squat vs blues
    285 8 x 2

Speed deads vs quaded minis at 2" deficit
    315 5 x 2 (no belt)

Cut training a little short today. I needed to let people into the condo to get some work done.

Here's the Thursday video. Bill had some issues after updating drivers on his computer. It made me realize how much Windows sucks, and how nice it is to not deal with that crap, haha.
