    DE deadlifts vs quaded minis:
    365 6 x 1

I haven't deadlifted in awhile due to circa max, so this was just to stay sharp.

    Obliques:
    4 x 10

    Abs:
    MM 3 x 10

    TKE:
    strong 2 x 10

We had Michael try a bench shirt for the first time. It actually went pretty well. It was fairly loose, but he still got ~70 lbs from it.

Thursday sucked. I benched raw vs chains. My shoulder wasn't feeling great and it just made it hurt more. It's feeling better now.

DE squats with cambered bar vs 130 lbs of chain
    295 6 x 2

    Back extensions
    3 x 15

Only real training left is taking my bench opener Thursday. Also, I did some more reading. I timed circa max right. Westside does DE squats in Monday (I do DE on Saturday) which is why it seemed like I was a week early.

I've done circa max once and I can't remember what I did, lol. I do remember doing some reverse band work after the intense weeks of squatting against all that tension.

I benched last night to give myself more time off before the meet. It didn't go that great. It'll be interesting at the meet.

The rack that Cliff and Mark were training in, what's the measurement on the inside?

I think it's only 30" deep. It's an elite econo rack. It's definitely not as deep as a regular elite rack.

Thats what I thought from looking at it. Do you think it has enough room inside? The rack I'm looking at for my garage is 30x43, it's probably the same size as yours.

That rack is actually 24". I measured it today. The normal elite rack is 30". You should be fine with 30". The 24" feels cramped.

    Meet results:

    771 x miss
    771 x miss
    771 x miss

I went down and came up with it the first time. The bar slipped and I was called for up and down motion. I really need to give up on the idea of cutting weight.

sorry to hear about the meet. I actually knew a few guys from around here that went to it and both of them had some issues in the squat as well.

Thanks Brian. Yeah, there's a meet at Diablo in February. I'm going to just drive up that morning and lift. It's only ~1 hour away on the weekend morning without traffic.

Ryan, there were a lot of bombs. I need to pick a smarter opener so even on a bad day I'm in the meet.

do you think it was just a matter of opening to heavy? or did the circa max not come through as planned? I like doing the circa max but I could see it not working for some styles of squatting. For me a box squat with bands pretty much feels like a full gear free squat so I can get away with it.

I think the weight cut affected my strength quite a bit. I didn't feel like I had any power or explosiveness. That's why I'm not going to cut for the next meet.

I cut 13 lbs which isn't much. I just don't react well to it.

ME bench vs 105 lbs of chains off manpon:
    275 x 1
    315 x 1
    325 x 1 (I've done 365 with 90 of chain, so I'm off about 10%)

Floor press vs 45 lbs of chains:
    205 4 x 8

    Barbell rows:
    185 4 x 8

    Seated Row:
    180 3 x 12

    Decline skull crushers:
    85 4 x 8

    Panora press:
    mini 3 x 12

That really isn't that much, but like you said, you don't react well to it. But at least you know the issue.

DE box squats with SSB vs average band
    310 4 x 2
    360 8 x 2

    DE deads vs quaded minis
Worked up to 405 and tried sumo in the leviathan. I'm definitely sticking with conventional. I'll still use sumo some in training.

    I agree.

DE bench vs 80 lbs of chains:
    135 9 x 3

    H-roll:
    30 4 x 10

    KB row:
    32kg 3 x 12

    Panora press:
    MM 3 x 12

    Hammer curls:
    35 3 x 12

I'm adding back speed bench and hoping it won't affect ME training.

ME deadlift with 130 lbs of chains
    515 x 1
    565 x 1
605 x miss (setup was all kinds of messed up)

I really need to stop dropping my hips more on my heaviest attempts. It screws up my starting position.
