    Squats:
    744 x good
    788 x good (17 lb PR)
810 x miss (completely f-ed up the unrack)

    Bench:
    584 x miss
    584 x good
611 x miss (shirt was faster than me)

    Deadlift:
    633 x good
    688 x good
    733 x miss

    2061 @242

I was cramping during bench which wasn't fun. The top 3 got sports to the XPC finals at the Arnold, so I wanted to make sure I'd get a spot. I took my second deadlift to secure that. Once that was done I tried 733 for the 2100 pro total and missed. I'll probably wait until the XPC finals for my next meet.

Good job on the squat PR and total!!! You should've just gone for a smaller deadlift PR. What's your best total @ 242?

Yeah, I did debate that. I'm honestly not sure 716 would have gone either. The 715 in the gym was pretty easy, but it was really warm in there today. I was doing everything I could to keep from cramping. I know that probably sounds funny to a guy that trains in his garage in FL. Your heat and humidity that are insane.

This is my best at 242. My 2000 and 2066 were at 275. I weigh right about the same though. I just didn't cut for those meets.

I got my main goal which is making XPC finals. I hope that ends up being a big meet.

Haha, dude you have no idea!!! I start sweating the minute I walk outside, lol. That's good, you're only 5lbs off of your best total and you did it at a lighter class.

I'm going back to Michigan in a few weeks. Odds are it'll be 90+ with 90%+ humidity. I'm not looking forward to that part of the trip.

Thanks Brian! That'd be cool to see you there.

    Thanks Coke!

I'm not sure why but I've felt worse after this meet than any other. I'm just not recovering that well.

Yes, we are getting older. Higgs isn't going to do a meet for awhile. Playing football jacked him up. He's not training with us anymore either.

I went back to Michigan last week, so I took the week off from training.

    Tuesday:

ME buffalo bar squat vs light band and 90 lbs chain
    320 x 1
    340 x 1
    350 x 1

    Trap bar deadlifts
    3 plates 4 x 8

    Cambered bar GM
    255 3 x 5

    Thursday:

    ME 2-bd vs. light band
    285 x 1
    305 x 1
    325 x 1
    335 x miss
    235 3 x 8 (4-bd)

    Dumbbell bench
    90 2 x 8

I have quite a bit of time before my next planned meet at the Arnold. I've decided it's a good time to diet down, and then go back up to 242. That way I'll be carrying more muscle mass and in theory be stronger. I'll have plenty of time to get my weight stable and make sure all my gear fits right. That said, dieting completely sucks. I know it'll hurt my strength in the short term, so I'm going to do 3x3 for ME.

    Squat with reverse average band

DE buffalo bar vs average bands
    8 x 2

I wore the ace suit I used as a 220. It fits pretty good without briefs. I could fit briefs under it back then.

Pin 2 rack pull vs short heavy bands
    405 x 3
    455 x 1
    475 x 1 20 lb PR

405 was so easy I was thinking I had 5 plates. These are brutal. That's 70 lbs less than I got with quaded MM.

    Back extensions
    4 x 8

    Pull throughs
    4 x 10

Hopefully I'm through the worst part of dieting. I think I've adjusted to the calorie deficit. It's just nothing fits so geared work is a challenge. I won't to keep some geared work in for my CNS. My work capacity is crap, since I'm eating less but oh well.

Thanks. I just got on strick carb back loading. It's really easy to follow and effective. It's just hard to find a good time when I train in gear. It changes how everything fits. Now that I'm planning to waiti until march to compete, I have plenty of time.

I'm down just over 10 lbs.

Tried to squat in the ace suit. That was a failure.

I feel pretty good. It's just when I get to ~80% I can tell my strength isn't there. That's why I've been sticking to 3x3 on max effort days. It'll be a lot more fun when it's time to gain back weight.
