The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    ME geared squats
    727 x 1
    771 x 1
    810 x miss

The 727 and 771 were high. 810 felt great, but I tweaked my glute again on it. I may have to do more 3's and 5's on squat to let it fully recover. I only feel it when getting up over 95%.

    Saturday

    DE SSB vs. average (preds)
    440 4 x 2
    490 2 x 2
    530 x 2

My glute flared up on the last set. I went to the chiro Monday, and I'm going back tomorrow for more. He said to keep training, but don't go 100%.

    Tuesday:

    ME deadlift
    635 x 1
    675 x 1

    4" block pull sumo
405 3 x 5 (definitely felt my glute on these)

    645 x 1

Thursday was horrible. My elbows hurt a lot from using a straight bar squatting on Tuesday.

    Saturday:

DE cambered bar vs. 110 lbs chain (boss briefs)
    435 6 x 2
    475 2 x 2

    655 x 1
    705 x 1
    735 x 1 (20 lb PR)
    765 x jacked up back

I have no idea what's wrong. I'll try getting into the chiro tomorrow. It just started to break the floor and it felt like someone stabbed me in the back with a knife. I'm 99% sure it's muscle related which shouldn't be too bad.

I'm not happy with how I'm over extending my back. I need to stop once I'm upright.

I used it a lot at first because I was so much weaker with it. Now I use it ~30% of the time.

I'm not happy with how I've been locking out heavy weights. I usually throw my head down too far. I tried to keep my head up, but that makes it look like I'm not locked and still pulling. I need to learn to just make my head neutral at the end.

I tried a borrowed Overkill shirt Thursday. I got 585 easily off a 1-bd, but I took it again and couldn't touch. I'll still with the SDP.

    ME full gear squat
    695 x 1
    745 x 1
    785 x 1

These all felt pretty easy, but I didn't have my chucks. Squatting in sambas blows. They are my bench shoes.

Loving the training. I really want to get up there and train with you guys one day. Definitely on my list of places to visit.
On that platform, how are ya'll attaching the bands? With oval clips? I just built a platform and looking for a good way for bands that's out of the way when I'm not using them.

We occasionally get visitors. It's mostly people that travel to the area for work. We have anchors that are bolted into the concrete. Then we use caribeaners to attach to the anchor. The key is having them far enough apart you have band tension at the floor. If the bands are slack at the floor, then you aren't going to get the max benefit.
