    Circa max vs strong and average

    This went OK. The weights felt relatively light, but I was struggling to get depth without relaxing. I think I need to get stronger before I try this again. Next week calls for going to 80% of the max, so I'll do that in just briefs.

    785 - miss
    785 - good
    815 - good (27 lb PR)

    I lost my balance on my opener. It was shaky on the 2nd too. The 3rd was by far the easiest which is annoying.

    585 - good
    600 - good
    615 - good (9 lb PR)

    These got better the heavier I went. It was odd since my shirted bench training sucked.

    675 - good
    715 - good (5 lb PR)
    pass

    I was spent.

    2145 (79 lb PR) and pro @242

    Maybe now I'll get the pro journal next to my log....

    After looking at the results, I was 6th in squat, 3rd on bench, and 2nd on deadlift. That makes it pretty clear which lift is holding me back. I'm going to be making some changes to my squat technique. I tried it out today. It takes a lot of focus to change it, so I can't hold my arch very well. It'll be interesting once I don't have to think about the changes and can just focus in the arch.

    My training since the meet has sucked. I should have eased back into it, but that's boring. I'm finally starting to feel normal again.

    ME SSB squat vs. strong band
    370 x 1 raw
    530 x 1 boss briefs
    550 x 1

    That's 30 lbs off my best from before the meet. My goal is to squat on ME days for awhile. I'll work up to a raw max then add briefs for a 4-5 more sets. I'll see how I recover from it. I'm doing my DE work raw for now.

    I had 3 lifters compete yesterday. Hugo went 824 @148 and hit all PRs. Brian sent 1746 @198 with PR squat, bench, and total. He jacked his back up. Colin went 1702 @274 and hit all PRs. It was a pretty good day.
