    Creatine Timing

On training days, is there a preferred time of day to consume creatine?

    Doesn't make much difference

I've been reading up on creatine a lot and once it's in your body the timing doesn't make much difference from what I have gathered. Although I have heard some people talking about taking it about 45minutes before, and others after training. The only consistency I have found is that you should take it first thing in the morning on off days, and it supposedly absorbs better when taken with a simple sugar. They used to recommend grape guice, but that's justmy two cents worth. H ope this doesn't confuse you..

In the grand scheme of things, no, as long as you're consistent with your dosing.

Creatine uptake is a little better when when consumed with protein and carbohydrate, so for most people post-workout is ideal. Since most people drink a shake post-workout it's easy to mix the creatine into it as well.

I always used to take it with my PWO shake, but I suppose it really doesn't make a difference as long as you're consistent with you dosing

EDIT: by PWO i mean post

Isaac's got it right. You want to have it with fast absorbing carbs and protein, which makes post workout perfect. its what i do too.
