The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

How many one legged squats (pistols) can you do ?

Post your height, weight, age, and your 1rm Squat PR. Also add how many you did with the left/right leg separately.

Your assuming you squat 330 because you've squatted 2 people on your shoulders? and you did 30 pistols with your right leg..?

    One Leg Pistol Squats

I am 75 years old going on almost 76. I don't know how many pistol squats I could max out, but I can do a set of 22 reps fairly easily with a ten lb dumbbell in each hand, alternating legs, so that is 11 on each leg in the set. I am 5 ft 6 in and weigh 127 lb.

So,,,,, we're reviving a 6 year old thread?

    Nevertheless 22 reps is strong.

Does this pose make my camera look big?

    I'm 6' 1" and weigh 220 lbs.

I do sets of 10 good pistol squats twice per week with each leg. Not really sure what I could max out at. Probably not much more than 10 since that is what my body is used to.

    It's a good exercise.
