    Keeping back tight when unracking the bar while benching

    So lately i've been trying to work on my bench form while arching my back and for some reason a lot of the time when I get a liftoff and unrack the weight out over me my upper back separates instead of keeping tightly squeezed together. Any tips on how to maintain my form and prevent this from happening?
    Age: 20
    Height: 5'11"
    Weight: 175

    B: 255x1 DL: 375x1 SQ: work in progress

    Goals: B-275 D-400 S-275 Weight- 180

    Go to the elitefts website and find the "so you think you can bench" video series that Dave Tate did. It explains in great detail how to stay tight while taking a handoff and even some exercises that will mimic how your back tightness should feel.
