The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

My neck is still messed up, it hurts looking to the sides. Not sure what is. I thought it was muscle soreness but its not getting any less. Well it was, until i did the sumo rack pulls...Will keep an eye on it.

So far im happy with the progress. It is slow, but i feel like i have added muscle, while leaning out. It hasnt felt like a diet at all and strength is progressing nicely. That said, with my trip to Dubai in about 7 weeks, i will be going with only one backload a week. Hopefully, this will give me some additional fat loss without any strength loss. I still have a good 15-20lbs to loose though.

The diet continues to interest me. How do you feel during the day at work? Focus ok?

Pre Carb Nite weight: 96.4 (212lbs)

I dropped about 4 pounds this week, which will most likely be almost all water weight. I havent been in the gym after my session on Monday. My neck was incredibly sore on Tuesday and i had almost completely lost mobility (turning to the left was almost impossible without pain). A friend of mine, who is a fysio therapist, suggested to rest it and do some light stretch to try and get that mobility back. At this point, it is feeling much better. There is still some slight pain but i can turn my head normally.

Training wise, i wont be doing anything that will put pressure on my spine. Squats, rack pulls, rows, overhead work are currently all out of my exercise selection. I have some replacement exercises so i will be going into the gym this morning. Most likely, i will go back to squatting etc after my trip to Dubai.

Focus is brilliant. Work is extremely busy with a lot of stress. The fact that i only eat two meals a day makes it so much easier to combine it with all kinds of meetings. Normally i would worry about if i was able to have my next meal in 2 hours or not.

    Preacher curls
    LT: 8,4,2x30kg (65lbs)
    TT: 3x32kg (70lbs), 10x20kg (45lbs), 12x10kg (22lbs)

Went with a drop set here. The weight was feeling very heavy.

    DB Hammer curls
    LT: 12x20's (45's)
    TT: 21x18's (40's)

    Bicep stretch: 100seconds

    Leg press calfs
    LT: 12x80kg (175lbs)
    TT: 12x80kg (175lbs)

    Lying leg curl
    LT: 15,5,3x125kg (275lbs)
    TT: 16,6,5x125kg (275lbs)

    Ham stretch: 60seconds, each

Leg Extensions, 2 count at the top
    LT: N/A
    TT: 20,10,8x91kg (200lbs)

    Quad stretch: 40seconds

Feeling the no carbs a bit and the fact that my neck isnt 100%. The pump on the leg extensions was insane. Its been a long time i have had a pump like that in my quads. I wobbled home.

Preparing for my carb nite that starts in an hour. I have got some good stuff, aiming for about 800 grams of carbs. This will have to last me a week so i will have to make it good .

Nice little session there, Luna! And curls are one of those exercises that can feel really heavy on some days.
