The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

I like that deadlift and front squat combo. Things are looking solid.

Yeah its pretty good. I do feel that both back squats might be better, but i dont want to combine it with deadlifts. Plus, i do love front squats.

Something that i picked up when doing SS and 5/3/1, its not what you lift today, its what you lift in a month, a year or whatever.

    Thanks for reading Bri.

    Deadlift
    6,2,2,2x130kg (285lbs)

    Front Squat
    6,2,2,2x57.5kg (130lbs)

    DB Curl
    6,2,2,2x16's (36's)

    Sit-ups
    5x10xBW+2kg (5lbs)

Really nice heavy session. Not much to say about the deadlifts, except for i love CHALK! Energy stayed high during the whole session. Front Squats felt great, especially after the heavy deadlifts. DB Curls need to be replaced because i find it difficult to progress on them and keep form very strict. I will switch after the deload.

I love the program so far, but at this point im coming close to my 6RM so it will really be time to crack down on things. I will do at least a couply of cycles more, before creating a detailed write up.

    Tuesdays session

    Bench
    6,2,2,2x62.5g (140lbs)

    OH Press
    6,2,2,2x42.5kg (95lbs)

    DB Row
    6,2,2,2x30's (66's)

    Tricep Ext
    6,2,2,2x9kg (20lbs)

    Pull Down
    6,2,2,2x63kg (140lbs)

    Face Pulls
    3x10x30kg (65lbs)

Im getting closer to my 6rm at this point. I failed on the last rep of the last cluster of both my bench and OH Press. The other exercises after that felt stronger than the previous session, which means i probably wasnt focussing enough on the first lifts.

Still feeling good though overall, it will be really time to buckle down and lift hard.

    Deadlift
    6,2,2,2x135kg (295lbs)

    Front Squat
    6,2,2,2x60kg (135lbs)

    DB Curl
    6,2,2,2x16's (35's)

    Sit-ups
    5x10xBW+2kg (5lbs)

Good session. Deadlifts are getting harder but i think i can make a final 10 pound leap towards three plates before making the increases smaller. Front squats still feel good, especially after the deadlifts.

I realized i cheat too much on the DB's. A barbell should remove this cheating so ill switch after the deload.

    Time for food!

Im definitely noticing size gains in my upper body, but im not sure if it is muscle coming back, or new muscle. Im pretty sure ill get to see more postive results when i keep on the program. Thanks for stopping by Bri.

I finally got all reps on my OH Press and all the reps on my bench. Really happy to have hit them. DB Rows felt strong and i increased the Tri Ext which are feeling good as well. Im really happy that i am slowly increasing the weights on every exercise.
