There are always ups and downs with training. Stay the course (and I know you will) and you will be leaner and stronger by the month, by the year,,,,, Good work!

Maintaining strength on a cut is as good as any PR on a bulk if you ask me Luna.

Have you thought about incorporating more stimulants now that you're intensity is starting to dip? I'd highly recommend 1MR if you can get a hold of it. Simple caffeine pills will work too.

Excellent work, Luna. I'd call posting those kind of squat numbers up impressive anyway, especially on a cut!

And my bench is always my sticking point too - first thing to stall, last thing to move.

Thanks a lot for all the motivation, that really gives me a great boost.

I do use a pre-workout supplement which is pretty good, but the effects are starting to wear off. I have been thinking about getting a fat burner but for one, i wouldnt know what is good and second i also would prefer if i could do it by manipulating my diet.

I am feeling pretty good after the refeed. I am hoping that this feeling will carry over towards the training. Another rest day today, which is on point diet wise.

Been giving the lowerback issues a bit of thought. It only really gets sore at the end of the weeks where i train lower twice. Training upper twice is fine. I feel it might be due to squatting and doing GM's on one day. I still want to squat every week but i also would like to deadlift again. What i am thinking about now is the following:

    Lower A
    Squat (6,2,2,2)
Leg Extensions (varying reps but for more volume without clusters)
Rest of the session same as usual

    Lower B
    GM (6,2,2,2)
Some sort of deadlift/rack pull (varying rep scheme, but most probable is 2x8)
Rest of session as per usual

The lower B day looks fine but i dont feel that the squat day will provide me with enough work. I could use the leg press, but i dont really feel it in my quads. Higher rep front squats sound good too. I also like the idea of autoregulating a bit and doing either leg press/front squats/smith squats etc to keep things a little more exciting.

I have been making progress the last couple of weeks on my squat and i have only gotten 1 good session a week in, so this should allow me to keep progressing.

    Any ideas?

If squats and GMs together are hurting you...then GMs and deadlifts together might kill you.

Good thinking. I thought that i might be able to get away with it if its a lighter load with slightly higher reps, but maybe not. Im not really sure what i should pair GM's with. I will have to give it another thought.

Personally, I would rotate GM's with a deadlift movement every other week. I wouldn't do them both in the same day. This is what I'm doing and I like it. Here is what I did for the last 5 weeks just to give you an example:
    WK1-6" block pulls
    WK2-CSGM
    WK3-Rack Pulls
    WK4-CSGM
    WK5-4" block pulls
    WK6-CSGM (next week)

And instead of block or rack pulls on week 7 I'm going to pull from a deficit.

Thats a very good idea. Do you cycle your squats as well or not?

    Bench
    6,2,2,2x85kg (190lbs) <- Pinky on rings
    14x60kg (135lbs) <- Middle finger on rings

    DB Row
    6,2,2,2x52's (115's)

Facepulls SS Side laterals SS Rack Chins
    15x35kg (80lbs) | 15x7's (15's) | 10xBW
    15x35kg (80lbs) | 15x7's (15's) | 8x BW <- pronated grip

    Tricep Pushdowns
    14x45kg (100lbs)
    8x45kg (100lbs)

Great session. Switched to a wider grip on bench which made me finally get 190lbsx6. Really enjoyed doing a lighter, higher rep set with a wide grip after the heavy set.

DB rows were solid. Grip is the first to give out on these. Shame the DB's dont go heavier than this because i think i could make it.

Supersets are awesome and rack chins are even better. I can really focus on pulling with my lats, something i cant with regular chins.

Triceps were nice and pumped after the pushdowns.

Diet has been spot on the last couple of days. I feel like i got a good loss this week so im hoping the scale will also show this.

    Solid DB Rowing there Luna.

You don't feel the leg press in your quads huh? So weird how some people can feel an exercise in areas while others can't. I don't feel squats at all in my quads. :/

I think it is the type of leg press we have. I have used other leg presses which felt good, but this one just doesnt give me a lot of feeling.

I dont feel squats in my quads while doing them, but i do get doms the next couple of days in my quads. So i guess i use them. Less now though with my wider stance.

Rack chins are great, aren't they?
Nice job with everything. I like the idea of the drop set on the bench.

They are. I have dropped the lat pulldowns and dont think i will look back anytime soon.

Drop set is good to get some more form practices as well.

Not a lot of ab work. I do around 4 sets of leg raises on my lower day. I have never done a lot of ab work because i always lifted without a belt and they got worked hard by squats and deads.
