Good session. Your body probably was just telling you it needed a little break from the squats.

Damn, that is a ton of walking you are going through now without the bike - good luck Luna.

Inzer belts are great, it is more likely to adjust to you, so to speak, the more you make use of it.

My legs are feeling a bit tired but i do enjoy walking outside in the sun so it isnt too bad.

I did use it on more warm up sets to try and break it in faster, but its going to take a long time.

Did you change your name??? I was like "I know this journal title, but not this dude who is writing it!" Sometimes it's a wise idea to listen to your body brotha, although it's not always easy to do. I had that yesterday...I skipped deadlift day in order to take a nap....and I slept like a ROCK during that nap. I didn't realize how much I actually needed rest! Oh well, deadlift day was just moved back an extra day...no sweat!

    Nice lifting though bro!

Hehe, decided to change back to something easier .

You are right and it certainly doesnt harm to ease back just slightly sometimes.

    Thanks!

I bought my wife an inzer...

She squats/deads heavy, once per week each. For the first 4 months, I had to help her put it on...that is how long it took to break in. They are stiff mofos!

I'm glad most of my belts were hand-me-downs, lol. No worries about having to break any of them in. The only belts i've bought new were my 13mm lever belt and my lever bench belt. I only use the 13mm lever for geared squatting, and no need to break in a bench belt, lol.

Are you doing the hanging leg raises by bringing up your knees or your feet?

I bring up my feet. I focus on contracting my abs during the whole rep and reset on every rep. I also perform it with a controlled negative.

    Neutral grip Pull ups
    5xBW
    4xBW
    3xBW

    Incline bench
    6,2,2,2x70kg (155lbs)

    Chin ups
    5xBW
    4xBW + 1 neg
    3xBW + 2 neg

    Dips
    8xBW
    3xBW
    2.5xBW

    DB Row
Reset on every rep and used straps
    6,2,2,2x52's (115's)

    Face Pulls
    2x15x45kg (100lbs)

    Close grip Push ups
    12xBW
    9xBW
    7.5xBW

Chin ups and pull ups are starting to feel easier. Incline bench felt very good, surprised i got 6 as last week i failed at 3. I guess im getting used to the exercise again. Dips seem to be increasing, happy i was able to get 8 on the first set. I love the push ups. They really allow me to focus on the tri's and go to failure. Pump was amazing.

Rest was kept very short, which had me breating heavy during the whole session.

    Week 19

    AM Weight: 96.0kg (211lbs) - 0.7kg (-1.5lbs)

Good week result. Was hoping to break the 210lbs barrier but i should get there next week. Weekly carb ups seem to work, not feeling flat at all and having decent sessions in the gym.

    Diet tweaks

I noticed that while strength is still good in the gym, my stamina on multi set exercises is very bad. This is to be expected on a diet, but i feel some of it can be attributed to poor pre workout nutrition. At the moment, i have a meal at 4 pm and lift at 7-7.30pm. The only thing i take before lifting is a pre workout and i have BCAA's during training. Its just too much of a gap and i feel pretty hungry when starting my session.

Furthermore, i have been taking in simple sugars after my training, because i have always read that this is what you need to do, but i have not actually noticed a difference from it. My biggest meal (Highest carb meal) of the day is also about 30 mins after my training, which leads me to think that i would be better off switching the simple sugars to before my training and have complex carbs (oats) with whey instead.

Going to buy a blender, hopefully this weekend, so i can start making a pre workout shake.

Next to that, im also going to swtich one P+F meal back to a P+C meal on workout days.

Great exercise selection on that workout.
Congrats on the weight loss, slow and steady.
I agree with the pre-workout shake about half hour before workout.

They are, especially with a controlled negative. I do them as a finisher after my other ab work.

Thanks, trying to pick up some of your exercise choices.
I am happy with the slow and steady approach, even though it does take a long time before you see drastic changes.
