I tweaked my right trap while warming up. My right trap seriously hates me, and I just couldn't stay tucked long enough on the 3rd.

1933.5 which is 6.5 short of elite and 104 lb PR on the total. I thought about going 722 on the last dead to get it, because 716.25 would have made me 0.25 short. I wasn't sure I had 722 in me, and I needed to get the 700 deadlift monkey off my back. I wasn't going to try 705 since I've missed it 5 times in meets.
Nice work, impressive deadlifts man.
I have to ask, how hard is it to deadlift conventional with a suit? How do you get used to it?

It's not that bad for me. As you can see, I have to roll the bar though. I can't grab the bar where it should be to start. The key to rolling it is to get your chest and head up before you start the pull. I actually figured that out in the fly at my first meet. The guys I trained with told me you didn't need to practice in a deadlift suit. I got on the platform and wasn't going to be able to grab the bar.

Thanks for the feedback. Is it really uncomfortable for you to get down there to the bar? Its really bad for me, of course i've only tried a few times in a squat suit. But I'll try to rolling thing. How much poundage can a deadlift suit give us conventional pullers? A rough estimate is alright, and I wont hold you to it.....
I wouldn't say it's comfortable, but it's not bad. I take my air at the top then grab and go. I can't get are at the bottom. I basically lunge my knees really far forward to get to the bar, then get myself back into position while I roll it. I don't think using a suit for conventional deadlift would work very well. You want completely different leg angles in the suit.
Last month I did a meet and I wore a borrowed DL suit. It was a 1-ply meet, so I couldn't wear my suit with velcro straps. The borrowed suit was loose, and I doubt I got much from it. I got 683, and then with a better suit I got 710.
Good job. Elite is so close you'll get it.
