The site owner allows trolls to just run the board...
Anyway, in this thread a bunch of the members are bitching because a bodybuilder is in a video attempting a touch and go 585 lbs raw. The guy makes a good run at it. The members say he is going to tear something blah, blah, blah....
Not a fan of that site at all. Not only is it full of people saying that was they were "not impressed" and crying about pec tears, its just poorly put together and hard on the eyes.
Also dont click the previous button thinking you are going to the previous page in the same thread, it goes to the previous thread. And it contains gore pictures. I made that mistake.
fck whether he had a 'good grip' or not...same thing as wearing those 'shirts'
powerlifting is bull****, just waiting for a tendon or muscle to tear and having an excuse to be a fatass
Is the back bar off that bench just so fat guys have a place to rest there guts giving handoffs? Either way that dude is defintely strong and the comments on that video are incredibly ******ed.

Went and to the link to see the video and that was a good run at it, the spotter didnt look like he had his hands close all the way around the bar...started to read some of the comments but ...yeah...hahaha

I've been a member of GetBig since 2003 ... it is what it is. You've got great guys on there ... and you got guys on there that don't know whether they're on foot or horseback. I find it entertaining at times ... but certainly not educational by a long stretch. I agree about the trolls though ... that's the main reason why I don't frequent the board as much as I use to.
I liked this quote from the thread:
"By Suckmymuscle: Wrong. I did bench 600+ lbs raw for a single - with the aid of a benching shirt - years ago, when I was on the sauce and weighted 330 lbs - at a height of 6'4."
I didn't read the comments given that it's probably a waste of time, but that guy rammed that up off his chest very quickly!
I'm a little confused as to why a bodybuilder would be attempting a max lift, but sometimes we all do dumb things in the gym I guess LOL.
Wish I could move 585 raw like that
Can't wait 'til tomorrow, 'cause I get stronger every day!
Certain sites i tend to stay away from and that is one of them.I used to go on there to read the comments because they were pretty funny sometimes, just the stuff they were talking about.
Like i remember this one situation they had this guy named squadfather who was a big internet troll or something and i forgot exactly how it went but the guys i guess he was talking about or something got so mad that they found his actual home address fiance everything and made some kind of threats to them.
The stuff that is allowed there is Crazy everyone who is somebody in the world of Powerlifting or bodybuilding is nothing on there because everyone on there is a Ufc champion with a supermodel girlfriend who has a multibillion dollar corporation and just so happens to Compete a little at powerlifting, and almost everyone on there has a max bench of 800 pounds RAAAAWWWW.lol.
Back to the subject at hand that Lift was not bad that guy that spotted him barley touched the bar and it was coming back up before he even touched the bar.It was a good attempt regardless its 585 lbs raw why can't they just say good lift or attempt.Instead im seeing comments about pec tears and such and that he was assisted.

Some people are dumb and weak. You just have to continue to let them be both dumb and weak, most likely you cannot change this.

That's 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back. That dude is a monster and he's clearly strong. Through all the reading someone mentioned Hoonstra. Does anyone know what's up with him?
I'll admit I've gotten into internet arguements before. I always felt a little less intelligent afterward. Took a couple of days to get back to normal! Best advice, no matter how wrong they are, let it go. Unless they are looking for help, let it go.
Internet arguements make about as much sence as a guy I went to highschool with who purposely failed gym, because in his words, "I knew it would piss off the coach". I wonder what he's doing today??
Pretty impressive vid. I know, assuming I could even unrack the weight it would just fall on me and cave my chest in. Those are some silly posts on that thread too. Its so weird to see people cling so tightly to their ignorance. I guess its an ego thing.
