    OK, this may sound like the ultimate noob question but what is macros and how do you calculate it? I have looked around but couldn't find anything. I eat very clean but would really like to calculate what my food intake is so I can truly maximize results. I am 175-180 pounds and about 6'2. I have an athletic build but I just want to get bigger. I am hoping this will help me get headed in the right direction. I can post my diet if need be.

    Macros are the breakdown of protein, carbs, and fat. Using the method of 1-1.5g p per lb of bodyweight and .5g f per lb. And knowing that 1g of protein and carbs = 4 cals and 1g fat = 9cals then you can figure roughly what you need for the day. Assuming you know how many calories your body needs to maintain, bulk, or cut. Once you figure out the protein and fat, you fill the rest of your calorie limit with carbs.

    Cool, thanks. Sounds a bit confusing. Me and numbers don't work well together. Would you reccomend to help my diet? I have heard of it but have never used it before.

    Fitday doesn't require much math. It does most of the work for you. Use it.

    It stands for Macronutrients (protein,carbohydrates and fats), Fitday is a pretty organized way to know exactly what you're eating day in, day out...great way to figure out maintenance if you don't already know it.
