I've been doing SS for about 3 months now, but just decided to make a log. Been lifting for about 8 months altogether.
Was rushing a little today so I didn't warm up like I wanted, but I got things done.
3x5x245 Working my way up again with the squats, because I wasn't progressing like I wanted.
1x4x135 Was tired didn't take a big enough rest between sets, because I had to leave pretty soon.
5x3x135 Cleans, are the same as the press, these were easy so Im going to increase the weight next time around. I was planning on doing that today but I forgot.

Everything stayed the same today, could have increased the weight on the squats but I will on Friday. Deadlift was tough today, Im pretty sure its because Im cutting back a little on the food, because I was gaining too much weight.

30 minutes on the trails behind my house, I did it at a fast walking pace. Half of it was uphill also. Easier then going all the way to the gym.

Gonna update the journal again. Im going to stay on SS for another month or so I have the Texas method book and after going through it I want to wait until I hit what they consider intermediate for my weight. 155lb press, 225lb bench, 301lb squat, 351 dead, and 217 power clean. Max press is 175 for 2 reps. Bench is at 245, squat is at 295 and dead is at 401, and power clean at 145. It's mostly my squat and power clean. Im going to work hard on getting those up, and do it all for 3x5.

Next workout Im going to try very hard to hit 3x5x295
1x1x175 For some reason I couldn't do another rep so I racked the bar reset it, and hit it again
Didn't have time for power cleans It takes me at least 20-15 min to finish all my sets and it was getting late and my gym was closing. A shame to I really need to get the power clean numbers up. Finished it off with Pull-ups.

Good workout today hit 315 squat for the first time!
1x1x315 Wiped the floor with this, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to come back up.
1x5x275 Just tried to make up for the other missed reps
Bench: Currently deloading
Deadlift: deloading as well
1x5x365 EASY, did them really fast.
I was going to do dips, but some guy was hogging the dip bars, so I just did some tri rope pulldowns

Good workout, I need to deload on the OH presses because I've been stuck at 155 for 6-7 workouts. I did do 165 for 2 reps today and the rest were 155, but last workout I did 175 for 1 rep, and 165 for 2.
3x5x155 tough, Im weak on the power cleans.

Came home too late yesterday to update the journal. Good workout but my schedule was thrown off so I had no spotter when I benched
I was going to do the last 2 but when I went down I couldn't come back up, so I rolled the bar off to the pins. Still trying to hit my 3x5x295lb goal!!!
Bench: deload still
Whats next? 1x5x405 I've only done 405 for 1 rep, I cant wait and see If I can do 5. 385 for 5 reps was cake though.

That was easy for me, but I think it's too close to what I do for reps I think I may lower to 115 and work back up for the deload.
3x5x160- These are always the toughest exercise to do. I was completly sore afterwards.

Good workout today fellas I like how I can get things done faster. My workouts with SS were quick when I started but within the last month I've been spending too long at the gym because I was beat. I spent about 45 minutes today.
Working set: 3x3x225 ATF~ these were fun
Working set: 2x5x135~ Just making sure I got my form down pretty good.
Working sets: 1x3x185 1x2x185 1x4x175 1x1x175
Pullups: I switched from close grip to ultra wide grip. I was suprised I can do them this wide. This was as wide as the pullup bars let me.

BTW guys, I'm going to switch my routine very soon to the Texas Method. I have the book, but haven't had a chance to read it.

I was mad at myself, and since it was my last day on SS I said Fu** it and finished off 2 sets with 85lb dumbells.

1x1x475~FAILED picked it up like 2" off the floor
1x1x455~ FAILED again. Brought it up to my knees. Thought I'd be able to do it since I did 1x5x425 last weak.
1x1x435~FAILED once again. Not soo sure whats goin on here. Brought it up but I was hitching. I never hitch .
Honestly 415 felt tougher then ever before.
Not that good of a day today. I guess it was time for me to switch from SS I've been doing it for a long time. Not sure if my deadlift was effected from the heavy squats or all the volume. I've been hitting DL PR's for a while now. I think I'm just tired, and deadlifted heavy 2x a week(every other week), and squatting heavy 3x isn't working for me anymore. I hope to hit some new PR's on the Texas Method. My routine is one that Zen made for me (thanks man!) It looks like:
sit-ups probably just 2 sets to failure but well see.
Front Squat 3x3
OH Press 2x5
pull-ups 2 sets to failure. I can only do about 10-15.
Squat to Heavy 5
Bench to Heavy 5
DL to Heavy 5
I cant wait until Monday!

I may use dumbells for the first few weeks of Texas Method then more on to a barbell again. Only to see if that will help my bench a little.
