I want to make a new leg routine; I feel its time for a change. My max squat has not increased in a while and I getting bored of my current routine.
This is my old routine:
leg curl 2*10
leg ext. 2*10
I wanted to do something like this:
squat 2*8 or maybe 3*8,8,5
I need some advise what else I should add 2 sets of one more exercises. What are you opinions?
i think if you add to sets at the beggining of the old workout and increase the sets of the rest of the excercises by 1 or 2 you will have some good muscular defined and BIG legs.this is what works for me actually.
BTW for the boredom thing.you could do hack squats or lunges.

I dislike leg curls, they're inferior to deads anyway I think .
What other exersices can I add to my new routine? is there any part of the leg I missing?
or you do normal bent legged deads as well?
my exprience - joined gym 10 years ago, 6 1/2 years hard weight training exprience.
I would say a set or two of leg presses and you should be set. Maybe do a heavier set of squats first then a little lighter set second, so you dont get as bored with the same rep range. And obviously some calve work.

Wouldn't the leg press be usless becuase i'm already doing squats. there both a pressing exersices. yes I do calf work 4 sets of seated calf raises.
Does anyone else think just squats and sldl is good?
