The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Extremely horrible hand off and still got it!!

I was the only one in my weight division so I was first in that obviously, but I was second overall in the open division. Big achievement for me.

Yeah man, in terms of lift off's it was a nightmare to say the least, but I had to work through it, But in hind site that took alot out of me and may be the reason I missed my third lift.

Thanks bro, I know in the grand scheme of the sport these lifts aren't much at all, but with this being my second meet after only training for 10 months with Jesse Kellum and Eric Downey, I think this is pretty significant progress for me.- Speedy

    Depends on the individual.
It's like asking how much faster a car could go with a spoiler on it, without specifying the car or type of spoiler.

All depends like mercury wrote. In this meet I only got about 80 lbs. out of it. My training partner phil and I are equal in raw strength and he benched 680 in a two ply. I was wearing a single ply. You can get anywhere from 50-200lbs. or more from a shirt, I'm still a novice with shirted benching.

Spoiler wouldnt increase the speed of a car. It creates a downward force on the car that increases control and tire grip. And for most spoilers, travelling at average highway speeds its only like the equivalent of 20 lbs pushing down. Really they are just there to look pretty.
