    What's a good Calories to calories from FAT ratio?

    To qualify as a decent "whole" "clean" food, what is an acceptable fat ratio.

    I notice ground beef is a little more than half calories from fat... I realize there are good fats but over half sound's like alot.

    What should I look for? 25%? Less?

    It can really vary and I would worry about the days overall percentage rather than individual foods. It;s fine to have a high fat meal if it balances out at the end of the day.

    20-25% is fine, often people go much higher if they reduce carbs significantly.

    There is no acceptable ratio. Fish oil, olive oil, etc would be 100% calories from fat but are still good healthy clean food. Peanut butter and nuts are great fat sources too.

    ah, I get it now. So whats a good amount of fat for a bulking diet for someone who puts on weight easily. Im cut down to 150 lbs right now and will do a slow bulk of clean food because I put on fat very easily... muscle comes fairly well for me too though.

    Fat doesn't make you fat. Calories do. Fat is just dense in calories. You want to shoot for atleast .5g per lb. so if you weight 150 you want atleast 75g of fat a day. Any extra is just tasty calories.
