unless you severely de-hydrate yourself which I`m sure you wont. Drink plenty of water before during and after you go in.

if u sweat a lot, u can become dehydrated, which impedes muscle growth. also know that the "thirst response" occurs about 15min after u are dehydrated, so drink water even if u don't feel thirst in the sauna.

If you do not consume a proper post workout meal, then yes, you are not getting the most out of your training. If you do eat/drink something before you go in, then you're fine. I agree with everyone else about the water too.

Sorry nate dogg but I would never advise anyone to eat a meal then go sit in a sauna, thats just dumb !!! People become obsessed over the exact times to have their pre and post workout meals and end up getting stressed out. I know from experience its not a good thing , you become irritable if you cant have your meals when you want them...look just have a sauna for what 10 mins..whatever then have your post workout meal..your gains arent going to suffer because you waited ten minutes..thats just stupid.

I will agree that taking a ten minute sauna would not hurt, but why would eating or throwing down a shake first be dumb?
