The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Mike Miller Just Lost To a Guy at my Gym

Mike Miller, a former holder of the squat championship, was beaten in points in a grappling contest by someone from my MMA Gym, his name is Tony. I wasn't there, but apparently Mike Miller is a huge monster and ridiculously thick. Tony (who is not a small guy by any measure, squats 600 once) won by using sweeps and other slick moves to counter Mike's fantastic strength. I just thought this was cool.
    Chris Mason is my master.....

American cars are like fat people, sure, they have a lot of power, but they're not built well, and they have all that useless weight, plus they make both make funny noises.

feel free to aim me, nejar462 im on a lot. Don't know much to warn you dudes, but im good at conversations.

Didn't he lose a ton of weight though? I saw a pic of him somewhere recently and he slimmed down considerably.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

I think this makes two in a row that Mike has lost. He has had a tough learning curve it would seem.

I met him once when he was still powerlifting and he was probably one of the most impressive figures I have ever stood next to. Just an absolute monster. Yeah he had a high BF but he just carried it incredibly well. Quite impressive.

I do hope he does well in MMA though. Mike is a great guy and a hard worker.

Speaking of MMA guys though, Luke Zacharich (sp) was training at Westside the other day. Some of you may remember him from TUF a couple seasons ago
