im 13, 5'8, 135 lbs. and i play left O. guard for a 12-14 boys team. we have a month untill practice starts. any ideas on cardio/weight training that might help??

to the OP, I'd agree with what Will posted. SS isnt quite as optimal for sports in comparison to Joe Defranco
Ummm... what else is it to say? Most guys in here would tell you to do westside. I have a different way of doing things that you probably don't wanna hear... yeah, there are more people in here who can give out better advice than me anyway so...
I would just focus on cardio and doing drills thats would help at your position. At 13 that is all you need.
Have you ever coached a football team? have you ever played football?
It absolutely does NOT boil down to how much you squat. It boils down to how you play football! Just squatting itself does not help at all. It must be done correctly.
