The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Its no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Buidling back/shoulder endurance

I was thinking of doing this, and wanted to see if anyone else tried this.

Soak a medium size towel in water and then whip it until exhaustion, ie 'Failure'. Then twist the water out. Rest, then repeat.

How's that sound? I've shaken heavy rugs out before, and have gotten tired fast. Instead of a unwieldy rug, I figure a saturated towel would work. It hit me one day that is might be a good exercise.

Does this sound silly or do you think it may have practical application?

Might be a good grip workout (wringing it out), but beyond that, it does seem kind of silly.

LOL I'll give it a try, report back. I am also interested building a caveman workout regiment (at least that's what I've heard people call it) where you use mundane objects pipes, heavy tires, and etc. utilizing full range of body motions, for a intense workout--the towel idea might fit into it. Plus it might be fun.
