According to the Wannabebig routine, you should do dips on chest days? I thought dips were for Tri's?
Also, which type of dips are preferred...the seated dips or the parallel bar dips? Please help.
Just do them and you'll FEEL they work both your chest and triceps
Bench dips will primarily work your triceps, whereas parallel bar dips can either primarily work chest or triceps.
Keeping your torso and legs vertical using the narrow end of the bars will target the triceps, as opposed to leaning more forward lower legs at 90 degrees to thighs, using the wider end of the bars will target the pecs more.

Shaggy pretty much answered it for you. They are just a great upper-body exercise. I personally do them with chest, but they hit my tris hard too. Many compound exercise will hit many muscle groups. Just do them and grow.
