Thanks Marcus!!! It felt good once I broke it off the blocks. I'm gonna test my pull from the floor in about 4 weeks or so. I'll see how I feel when the time comes.

    Just one of those days...

    Tuesday
    03-29-11
    Bench

    Bench press
    BARx20
    135x10
    210x10
    285x8
    315x6
    340x4
    365x4
    390x3...I missed my 4th rep
    405x1

    Incline press
    135x10
    225x5
    225x8
    225x8

    Pec dec flyes
    100x20

    Incline tate presses
    40x10
    40x12

    Pressdowns
I'm not sure what the weight was
    ??x20
    ??x20

    Notes:
That's it, I had no motivation going in to the gym. Everything was feeling heavy, and I just couldn't lockout the 4th rep. I need to rethink this program and maybe start doing other movments. I'm not sure if i'm getting overtrained from benching everyweek. But I will move on and give next week a shot and see how I feel before I make any changes.

Too bad about the miss how did 405 feel? What is your best gym bench? 440 if I recall correct?

I have a question. First off your raw Squat and geared squat are both amazing. This question is very noobish cause I don't know much about gear. Do you feel your Raw squat was higher than 600 when you hit 1030 in gear or with the right technique can gear add that much to a squat?

Your probably right, because it was hard for me to get comfortable. But I think alot of it was due to lack of drive.

The 405 felt ok, but it wasn't my fastest press. My all-time PR is 455 and I did do 445 for a post injury PR.

My best gym squat without knee wraps since I took the gear off is 650. I find myself to be a very good geared squatter compared to raw. IMO, everyone is different. Glenn Baggot can squat low to mid 7's with knee wraps but his best geared squat is high 9's. Yes, with the right technique you can add some pounds to a geared squat.

Congrats on the awesome pulls Brian. Shame about the bench session. Like OR said, the pulls probably took it out on you. Keep it up though, you have been doing great work and it will pay off.

Everyone has an off day now and then. The hardest lifts are the ones where the flesh is will but the mind does not want to cooperate. Without the drive and focus, the lightest weights feel heavy. If you can, get a sports massage, or some deep tissue work before your next training session. You'll see some new PRs!

''only 4" away'' ...I like your train of thought!!

My family and I will be in North Venice for the last two weeks of April 2012. I know its a bit away but but we should arrange to meet up for a training session. An 'arm day' or something.. :P

Thanks Kiff, I know the program works because I've done it before. So we'll see how it goes, next week the last two sets drop down to 2 reps and the weight goes up about 20lbs on my last set.

Thanks alot Luna, I really wanted that pull and im so happy I got it. OR is probably right because I was feeling a little beat up when I was squatting today. But I did feel good about my training and wanting to train today.

Some words of wisdom, I like it Tim!!!! A massage doesn't sound bad at all, i'm actually going to soak in a hot tub in a few minutes and i'm really looking forward to it.
