The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Nice work!!

    Love the fat bar pulldowns!!

Are you going to do one day of heavy band tension on the bench before the meet or stick with the chains?

I like the wall squats to warmup! I should really re-implement them again.

    Thanks Nick!!!

This cycle im going to stick with chains, only because I have one more week of chains and then one week of just straight weight, then a week of rest. I was planning on starting a 3 week wave of bands, but I have been using bands for awhile now and I wanted to try something different. Next week I will use the same amount of chains but maybe add some more bar weight. The bar speed felt really good, so hopefully I can add another 10-20lbs more and still keep my speed.

    Damn strong pulling!

My boss suit finally arrived so once I sort my hip issues out I am going to start breaking it in. Any tips? This will be my first multiply suit.

    Thanks Sidior!!!

I hope your hip gets better so you can get a feel for the boss suit. I never really do anything special to break in my squat suit. I pretty much just put it on and got under some weight. My squat suit isn't very tight, so breaking in mine wasn't a big deal. I have heard of people wetting it down like a bench shirt. What kind of briefs are you wearing under the suit?

    Good luck with it!!!

    3 weeks out from meet

    2/8/10
    Monday
    DE-Upper

    Speed bench
All sets done with comp grip
    BAR-1x10
    BAR+70lbs of chain-1x3
    BAR+130lbs of chain-1x3
    BAR+190lbs of chain-1x3
    95+190lbs of chain-1x3
    135+190lbs of chain-5x3
    155+190lbs of chain-3x3

    Schwab's
    4x10

    Reverse grip pushdowns
    3x12

    Chest supported row
    4x10

    Face pulls
    3x10

DONE...Today I took it kinda easy. This was my first time doing speed work with my grip that wide. Today I set the chains up so I had more links on the ground. So my last sets were probably 130-150lbs of chain. For all my accessory work I used light weight on everything. I was just getting some work in. I plan on shirting up on Thursday, so I didn't want to go crazy with my accessory work.

    2/9/10
    Tuesday
    ME-Lower

    Wall Squats
    2x5

    Squats
Started off a 13" box with three 1" pads on it to warm-up the hips
    150-2x5
    Took one pad out
    260-1x3
    Took another pad out
    350-1x1
    Added briefs
    460-1x1
    550-1x1
    660-1x1
    Added suit with straps down
    750-1x1
    840-1x1
    Straps up
    930-1x1
1020-1x1...I think it was a little high, but this was my first time with that much weight on my back. Plus I squatted straight down and not back which is probably why I cut it off. I am really having a hard time keeping form under heavy weight. Today was my last squat before the meet, and that leaves me to do one more deadlift which will probably be just an opener.

It seemed like once I put the suit on and went over 700 is when I broke down. I have video of it, but I'm having problems with my computer.
