The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Thanks Risk, I was pretty happy with that. My heavy zercher squat wasnt the best form, so im probably good for low-mid 500 with better technique.

I don't think it really matters with 500+ anyway, its still EPIC hahaha.

I am very happy with how things went today. Even though I did everything wrong when I squatted 975lbs, and still got it made me feel real good. I have got to learn how to sit back under heavy weight. This was the first time in my new squat suit, and I think it feels really good in my legs, but a little loose from the hips up. Other then that, im really happy about everything.

    255+40lb KB's (335lbs)-1x5

    Tricep Death
Im not really sure what to call these, but they do kill your triceps. We did a bar weight of 255lbs with the fat bar for 2x20. We used a 1/2brd-2brd-3brd-4brd for 5 reps each board. I only got 19 on my last set.

I am really bummed out for missing 700-3 times. I thought for sure coming into the gym today that I was gonna get it. Today was the first time pulling in my suit since the Seniors back in June. I guess there is certain areas I need to start working on. My goal is to get 700 by the end of the year!!!

Nothing really special today, but all-in-all it was an ok day. I was wearing my old single-ply suit because I don't have a pair of single-ply briefs. This was a pretty good week of training even though I missed a 700lb deadlift 3 times.

These were a B***H, but hopefully they will show next time we pull from the floor.

Once again I had to get a quick workout in because I had to be at work. But other then that everything felt pretty good. When I performed Zercher Squats, I tried to do them a little bit better then how I did them last time. I can tell right away the difference.

Tonight was our first night benching to boards with our shirts on. So I guess its safe to say that I set 3 PR's with a 605 to a 3brd...2brd...and then a 1brd. Next time we are in our shirts hopefully I will be able to break them, now that I have a number to shoot for. It took a little to get use to, but I felt good and the entire crew did really well for our first time doing them!!!

I hate to train on the weekends, especially on Sundays. But I can't make it tomorrow so I decided to head to Golds Gym with the wifey and get a quick training session in. But of course I wasn't really motivated to train. After working out I walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes and watched "Waterboy". Those were the fastest 20 minutes ever!!!

nothing special for grip work, this is all I have around the house. I haven't done any grip work in awhile. I know I said this before but, I do feel my grip is getting stronger. Especially in my left hand. I want to buy some more stuff for around the house to help my grip.

Everything felt really good, and of course my setup was off on my last set. Last time I had horrible form with 975 and still got it, tonight I felt like I sat back more. The only thing that bothers me is I wasn't centered under the bar. I decided not use any knee wraps tonight and was a little nervous. I need to remember that EVERYTHING STARTS WITH THE SETUP!!!
