    Competion terms and lingo?????

    Whats does the terms ' DRY" ..." Full" and " FLAT" Mean???
    I know what ripped and shredded means but can you explain theses????

    It sounds like terms for a bad hair day. But other than that I have no idea, just thought I would throw my two cents in

    DRY...means that all the subcutaneous water under the skin is gone, leaving your muscles looking like they are tightly wrapped by your skin. Even if your bodyfat is low, unless you are "dry," you may not look all that "ripped."

    FULL...means that your muscles are full of glycogen(stored carbohydrate), and therefore look pumped and thick.

    FLAT...this is the opposite of "full." When you are "flat" your muscles look somewhat lifeless and unpumped, even when flexing. This usually occurs from undercarbing and lack of recovery before a show.

    so how do they make themselves full with carbs without bloating up and no longer being dry>?

    The keys are eating the right amount of carbs, the right type of carbs, and at the right times, to "overfill" glycogen stores WITHIN muscle, but keep any water from "spilling" into subcutaneous departments.

    Detail is all a matter of getting your bodyfat down into the single digits through diet, training, and cardio. The lower your BF %, the more "detail" you will see.

    In terms of the "last bits" of detail that competative BBers go for right before a show, that is a more "detailed" process involving water and glycogen manipulation through specific dietary and supplemental means.

    True...supplements to the drug user will usually include certain steroids, insulin, and powerful diuretics, among other things during the last week...
