It sure was Coke. 545 felt heavier than it should though. Not sure how the dead is gonna play out with this meet.

For the bench guys should I go 275, 290, 305 or just go from 275 to 305 at the meet? Pausing seems to always screw me up.

This is what I ask myself, Are you going for a total PR or a bench PR? Personally, I would go 275-290-305 and that only depends on how each attempt feels. You might feel great warming up but when you get out on the platform nothing goes right. I always like to play it safe. I made a mistake one time jumping from 622 to 677 in the deadlift knowing that I have pulled 675 raw before. But I just couldn't lock it out. I know it doesn't seem like a big jump, but when that second attempt is near a max effort it sure is, lol.

I agree with Brian. Open t 275 and see how you feel after your opener to judge where you shold go. Id want to chase a total pr personally.

I heard the concert was incredible.

Thanks for the input guys. Brian it was a decent concert, but some things could have been better. Beforehand we did go to the market and had that roast pork sub. Fantastic. Then hung out at McGillins for a bit. Not a bad little place and guess it is the oldest bar in the area?

I feel beat up right now and I only got 4 hours of sleep Tuesday night, so it is tough to tell. The 460 squat moved good and they actually thought I was putting more weight on for another set. So that could be a good sign. Concerned most with the deadlift, as 545 felt real heavy.

From past experience feeling beat up is a good sign. The meet is next weekend right? So you have the rest of this week to finish training and next week to rest?

Water weight is a funny thing for sure. At my fullest Saturday I weighed 239. This morning after waking up I was at 225. So, 220 shouldn't be an issue or even difficult to get to. Just did a few things in the gym today.

    Squat
    Bar x 8 x 2
    135 x 5
    185 x 3
    225 x 1
    275 x 1

    Bench
    Bar x 10 x 2
    95 x 5
    115 x 3
    135 x 1
    155 x 1

    Deadlift
    135 x 3
    225 x 1
    325 x 1

    15 minutes eliptical

    Stretch

    230 x 1

    Bench

    120 x 1
    140 x 1

    Deadlift
