    Guys, thanks as always for checking in. Thursdays DL I tried to do the actual 5/3/1 workout rather than just stick to my plan of doing singles up to a challenging weight with this new from. Trying the upper rounded bacKK approach. Feels like it has a lot of potential, but needs work. Should have stuck to my initial plan. Still not bad.

    420 x 4 where it should have been 5. Just not right with reps yet. Did 475 for 1. Tried 535 for 1, but it didnt feel right leaving the floor. Seems singles and triples work best for this style right now if I want to build the strength back up. 405 for 5 singles.

    3 Pps + 25 x 6 x 2
    4 Pps x 6

    Hanging leg raise
    5 sets of 10. Lower body stretch

    Last night
    Bench. Still working thumb from the smooth grip. Did anyone else catch the Brian Carrol bench set up suggestion on elite fts? I used that and it does get a good amount of leg drive. Like the deadlift, it feels as though this bench style has potential.

    Seen a lot of powerlifters go that route on the bench, good deal on tweaking your form to good effect.

    Doing the out and wide bench style?

    I'd rather have leg drive than an arch as a raw bencher. I might give that a shot and see how it goes. Not like I have much to lose. My bench never goes up anyway.

    I've thought about trying it also. It's working for him that's for sure. He just smoked 805 off a 1brd with that new setup.

    Tried that out and wide form today. It didn't magically make me stronger, but I did like the feel a lot better. Easier to unrack the weight with no spotter and I felt much more stable.

    445 x 1. Didn't get a good unrack and didn't feel in good position the whole rep. Re-racked and waited maybe 30 seconds. Got a better unrack but just got 1. Weight didn't feel heavy, but lower back wasn't feeling great today. Did travel quite a bit yesterday.
    Was going to do 315 for 5 for 3-5 sets but after unracking and doing 1 rep I knew it was time to call it a day with squatting.

    Hamstring Curl
    65 x 15 x 5

    Knee Raise
    +20 x 8. Didn't like it
    Bw x 12 x 2. That was enough.

    Lower body stretch.

    Deadlifted last night. Not a great night, but with how squats went Monday, pretty happy. I remind myself, when I feel weak and still double 515 without a belt, I'm doing ok.

    405 x 8. Started doh grip, but it slipped out on the 3rd rep. Even with chalk, some of these bars aren't the best.

    OH press. After a few warm ups was able to grip thumb from the smooth. Felt real good.

    Weighted chins. First two weighted sets the belt was in use, so we gripped the DB win our feet.
