    Terry, hoping to build from here. BW was 217 before the gym today. I'd like to get to 210 by July, so that should be easy.

    Bench tonight
    160 x 10 x 5. 12 on the last one

    Lat Pulldown
    100 x 12 x 3. 18 on the last set

    Bench. Slingshot
    185 x 12 x 3. Might seem stupid looking at using the slingshot for 185 and perhaps it is. But the idea here is just some slight overload after the lat work.

    DB tri ext
    20's x 15, 13, 12

    Hammer Curls
    30's x 15 x 2, 12

    Hanging knee raise
    3 x 12. 16 on last set

    Upper stretch

    Conditioning

    For now the reps are different, but still the same philosophy. This is juggernaut Brian. So that's why I split deads and squats to separate days.

    Thats my intention Brian. It will wind up being 20 I guess with the deloads and 4 week cycles. Last time I ran this I didn't get to do the 3 phase because of an upcoming meet, and from re-reading the book, made too big of a jump with training maxes. Live and learn.

    Don't know how it is everywhere else, but it is full summer mode in central PA today. So humid in the gym. Really sapped my strength levels. So

    Overhead Press
    120 x 10 x 3. Last set was tough to manage. Ran out of gas.

    Squats

    300 x 10 x 3. 14 3rd set with a belt.

    A few light sets of close stance squats with the mantra ray. Figured I would try it out.

    3 sets hanging leg raise.

    Anyone else feel like they don't have to do much assistance work with lower body. With squats, deadlifts, and abs. Seems to be true right combination.

    I feel the same way. Since I'm pulling and squatting in the same day, I probably only do one or two more assistance movements. I'm trying to pick something that will benefit both lifts. Right now I'm working on front squats and walking lunges. IMO, you can overtrain the lower body a lot faster then your upper body.

    I agree about overtraining lower easier then upper. I like how you have your training set up. Interested to see how it goes for you.
